Is La Tech our third non-con game for '26?

Yep, and McNeese is already October 3rd.

McNeese lists the game as October 3rd, LSU has it as TBD.

With the SEC moving to 9 games, it’s seeming like every non conference game date is up for review (especially the FCS games).

Yeah, and it could get dropped altogether.

Gameday in Oxford? Will be a wild scene.

That would probably depend on if Ole Miss is remotely good at that point. Even though the 2008 season for LSU was a dud, LSU was ranked at the time they played Alabama (Saban's return).

Plus, LSU would have to agree to playing Ole Miss then Alabama in consecutive weeks since the traditional Alabama spot is the next Saturday.

The only problem is that there's no benefit for LSU. If they beat Tulane, it's because they were supposed to and every other year, LSU would have to go play in that matchbox. All that rivalry does is legitimize Tulane more.

I think with the 9th sec game, the sec is no longer doing the typical bullshite cupcake game late November. I assume all cupcake games will be in September or mid October at the latest.

I hope so but that might be wishful thinking.

What a tired, awful argument. Tulane-LSU in 2022 would have been epic. What are you afraid of?

Who said it has to be a home and home? It can be two and one in the dome.

Missing out on an actual good rivalry because LSU was busy playing Tulane every year. Don't get me wrong, i'd like to see a game between the two, but not every year.

At the very least, don’t allow 3/4 of the conference to do it on the same weekend. The weekend of 11/22 was abysmal.

Would be weird to play them two years in a row, but it's not a big deal. Prefer playing in state schools for OOC anyway.

I don't like that. Traditionally that game was always played around Halloween, give or take a few days

Did a search for the Courtyard on Acadian (the SEC and espn hotel). It is blocked for every weekend the entire season. Who know!

We already got an OOC instate game with McNeese. Unless Tulane is the still-undetermined opponent, I don't want another instate school.

Is the ok/ok state game coming back anytime soon?
