2026 Hot Takes

-Clemson game will be a dogfight. Like a Les Miles type of 20-14 type of win
- We are run heavy, defensive reliant team in September
-We beat the brakes off of Bama
-Ole Miss or A&M will end up tanking hard like 6-6 or 7-5 after we beat them. Both teams have glaring issues (Probably will be OM, hard schedule & relying on two players)
-SEC team will win the Championship. Either LSU, UGA, OU, or UTa

Most of the players on the team weren’t even alive the last time that happened
ETA Add up all the games we’ve won against Bama in the last 20 years and the margin is a combined 12 points

PJ Woodland is going to be one of the top 3 players on defense and will outshine DJ Pickett.
TD Green will be the #1 overall pick in the 2027 NFL draft because of the season he'll have this year. He'll be picked ahead of Arch "nepophag" Manning.
Ole Miss will have good food for the LSU game.

Agree. An entirely new offense clicking in game 1 seems unlikely. Need some TS magic to create a Clemson meltdown.

I don't know about the score/style, but I totally agree with the general take. I have this game being a dogfight as well. Expect Clemson to be very sticky and scrappy in this one - closer than the experts think. LSU will be comfortably uncomfortable in this one - always in control, but always a play away from "oh shite". Think something like a 7-10 victory that's iced late.

While I certainly would not predict it, it feel like is there was ever a year for it to happen this could be it given the variables. Alabama is going to have a new QB and new OL. While they haven't been bad the last two seasons, they are no longer the dominant force they were under Saban. Even with a backup QB and an awful OC, it was a one score game last season @ Alabama in the 4th quarter.
Offense should not be a problem for LSU this season, so maybe it is the year LSU and Alabama collide with LSU on an upswing and Alabama on a downswing.
