Curious how many games it will take for the offense to mesh and be at max capacity?

Who will be our best OG on the line?

Who will produce more in 2026, Caden Durham or Dillin Jones?

-Clemson game will be a dogfight. Like a Les Miles type of 20-14 type of not lose

- We are run heavy, defensive reliant team in September

-We beat the brakes off of Bama

-Ole Miss or A&M will end up tanking hard like 6-6 or 7-5 after we beat them. Both teams have glaring issues (Probably will be OM, hard schedule & relying on two players)

-SEC team will win the Championship. Either LSU, UGA, OU, or UTa

We're an 8-4 team.

Just sit back and enjoy the ride because, based on Lane's track record, it's only up from here.

Literally the only way Green goes 1 overall is if a team decides he’s gonna be LT

Agree. An entirely new offense clicking in game 1 seems unlikely. Need some TS magic to create a Clemson meltdown.

I don’t think so at all. I believe LSU finally comes out in an opening game now under Kiffin looking prepared and ready to kick some arse. Along with how electric tiger stadium will be, if Clemson doesn’t come out firing on all cylinders, I can honestly see this one getting ugly. I just don’t think this LSU team will look anything like we have been used to seeing under Brian Kelly since he’s been here. Especially in opening games.

what is UTa? That seems like some little brother behavior a&m would refer to Texas as.

Well the experts think -91/2 so your 7-10 point prediction is exactly what they think not closer than they think.

First game in 07 was actually a Thursday night game at miss st.

It was a game we won something like 41-14 but somehow felt like we played "bad" while doing so. Weird game.

Second game and home opener was VA tech. Was an awesome game for sure and lots of fun, but another thing often forgotten was that shortly before the game (I think within a few weeks) there was a shooting at the school which might have had that team less focused. I think LSU beats them handily regardless but I wouldn't be surprised if that had them distracted and lead to it being an absolute beatdown.

We’re everyone’s Super Bowl. Even the “easy” games are going to be tough. Weird things happen in Jordan-Hare, Kentucky at night won’t be a cakewalk, and even Mississippi State should be better than they’ve been the past three seasons with that QB.

Now let’s talk about the hard games.

At Ole Miss is 50/50. A&M at home is probably the one I feel best about; can't lose three years in a row. Bama could be cheeks, but they still have one of the highest blue-chip ratios in the country. Texas should be very good defensively; Arch will have trouble on the road, but their backfield is loaded. And THEN we get to finish the year with two games in cold-weather environments. Away. Back to back. Oh yeah, and one of them hates our coach with a burning passion.

All in all, I’d say at least half the schedule is a toss-up. And that’s with the reality baked in that 54 new players are expected to learn new concepts, come together as a team, and perform at the highest level.

I mean, A&M’s biggest red flag is also our biggest question mark: replacing four of five starters on the O-line. We also have serious depth concerns at CB and DT, and if injuries start piling up, we may need to play freshmen at those positions. That’s concerning.

I’m not expecting perfection from this team when almost everything is new.

I’m setting the bar low this season and waiting for them to exceed expectations.

I just don't see the Clemson game being a dogfight. Their QB is inexperienced and pretty unproven. Our defense will likely be pretty tough. Travelling to Baton Rouge for a night game as his first game as a starter is likely to punch him in the mouth. Not saying he won't improve as the season goes on.

Here's how I think it plays out:

Obviously can't predict injuries and other misc factors

Clemson W
La Tech W
Ole Miss W
Aggies L
McNeese W
UK W
MSU W
Auburn W glad this is a day game
Bama W
Texas W
Tenn L I don't like this game on road potentially at night and the QB will have more game experience
Arkansas W

No idea if that will get LSU to SEC title game, hopefully not, don't need that game

LSU Hot Takes

"TD" Green has a Kyle Pitts type of season. I'm talking 1200 yards 15+ TDs. (For reference, Pitts averaged over 96 yards a game with 12 TDs in 8 games).

LSU finishes with a top 10 offense year one under Kiffin

LSU beats Texas, Bama, and TAMU in TS, but lose to Auburn and Tennessee on the road. I expect Texas and TAMU to finish 10-2 or better. How i see it is we are high going into Auburn on the road after being the only losses of ranked Ole Miss and ranked TAMU squads. At this point we are likely 6th based on who i see losing a game in the first 7 games of the season above us. We regroup on the bye and beat Bama (likely has 2 losses) and Texas (undefeated and likely ranked top 2) in back to back home games. We lose to a surprisingly decent 8-2 Tennessee squad on the last drive.

Overall Hot Takes

Oklahoma makes the SECCG and playoffs with 2 losses (11-2). Both losses coming to UGA.

UGA beats Oregon in the NCG and anti SEC folks can stop pumping their chest about a 3 year NC winning streak.

PLAYOFF TEAMS

SEC - UGA, Oklahoma, LSU, Texas, TAMU or Tennessee gets the final spot
Big Ten - Ohio St, Oregon, Indiana
ACC - Miami
Big 12 - Texas Tech
IND - ND
PAC - I don't know if it's G6 or P5, but Boise St is my pick.

O-line does a complete 180 and is the strength of the offense this year. Weston Davis, in particular, has a coming out season. We all realize how bad the coaching really was on the oline last year.
