Georgia has still yet to visit Kyle Field, despite allegedly playing in the same conference with Texas A&M since 2012.

What’s alleged about that?

I'm pretty sure that was meant sarcastically.

Pretty much? It's the same 8 opponents, just flipped the home and away games.

If that's the case for all teams in the conference, then poor Florida
yep looks like the exact same schedules as 2024.

Florida is going to have 5 straight losing seasons.

A&M and Missouri have completely lucked out. Missouri might have 3 straight top 5 seasons. A&M is still worthless so not expecting anything out of them

Desiring an all-day SEC football feel, SEC Network game start times can now be pushed back 45 minutes to lead to more staggered finishes, i.e. moving from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. CT. kickoff time. A typical SEC Network slate would now look like 11:45 a.m. CT, 3:15 p.m. CT and 6:45 p.m. CT while ABC and ESPN games would keep their typical start times. The SEC and ESPN will have the ability to flex ABC and ESPN afternoon and night games a limited amount of times per school.

For having a four year start on adding teams, Birmingham has really dropped the ball.

I think they thought they were going to a 9-game SEC schedule. Then they found out ESPN wouldn’t give them more money for the 9th game. So probably holding out hope the extra money comes for 2026 and beyond.

Flipping the opponents gives them another year of Alabama-Tennessee and Auburn-Georgia. Had they not flipped the opponents, those matchups might not happen, and we all know the world will end if Alabama-Tennessee and Auburn-Georgia don’t happen every year. (all sarcasm in italics intended)

Who is the 12th game? The homepage only lists 3 OOC games.

When we do play Texas, the game needs to be in Tiger Stadium two years in a row.

I 100% guarantee this will not happen. Although we deserve it. Just won’t happen.

Hey we’re looking for another OOC opponent.

Oregon State. Come on down!!

I bet just about any Big12 team would want to come play. I’d call Texas Tech, TCU, OK State and WVU.

Or it looks like they half assed this whole scheduling process and just said frick it let’s just run it back same as 24 but flip the sites. Extremely frustrated with this announcement.

Hey let’s give founding member LSU 4 home conference games. 3 of which will be expansion teams. They don’t need to face old rivals like Auburn anymore.

Yeah, it's trash. You're gonna make me go back and look at what it was 15 years ago to see what was worse. I guess you're referencing the Katrina year?

I think Texas lucked out the most. The only current good team they play is GA. No LSU, No Bama, No OM.

They play GA, OU (who has been down lately), Arky, Vandy,Kentucky, State, Us (Florida), A&M.

Basically, they get to play GA and the worst teams in SEC two years in a row. How the hell did that happen? No way that wasn't planned. Nobody is that lucky.

The SEC is clearly punting a long term decision about scheduling until things are more settled in the sport, such as finalizing the playoff format over the long run and maybe adding more schools in the near future.
