Pretty much the same matchups as 2024 and keeping the 8 game schedule.

"Update: The SEC will keep the same format as 2024, with opponents flipping locations. This will preserve secondary games like Texas-Texas A&M, Alabama-Tennessee and others, while other formerly annual matchups like Georgia-South Carolina and Auburn-Ole Miss will go at least two years between games"

Kicking the can farther down the road

We better keep Clemson. Also makes me think the SEC is considering bringing in more teams before they commit to any type of significant schedule format.

This is abosultely absurd

The 8-game slate also has plenty of critics within the conference, as well. Georgia has still yet to visit Kyle Field, despite allegedly playing in the same conference with Texas A&M since 2012.

with each team playing the same opponents as 2024, but with locations being flipped, according to a person briefed on the matter.

Sounds like BS. Why would they want teams to play the same 8 opponents?

Not terrible for LSU - we’ll miss on UGA, Tenn, Mizzou, Texas, Auburn, Miss State.

But other teams like A&M have a super soft schedule

Because Texas has a weak schedule now they'll have one 2 years in a row.

No, it's in Baton Rouge in 2024 & Tuscaloosa in 2025.

Worst home slate in 15 years

This is the most lazy approach I’ve ever seen. Vandy and South Carolina AGAIN? really? This is a rare SEC L in the scheduling department.

Another year without Texas, Tennessee, Georgia and Auburn on the schedule. Pathetic

LSU will have played three times in Nashville before any return trip to Athens.

Pretty much? It's the same 8 opponents, just flipped the home and away games.

If that's the case for all teams in the conference, then poor Florida

When we do play Texas, the game needs to be in Tiger Stadium two years in a row. They still owe us for 2020 (China virus). The games need to be in early September and there will be no AC in their locker room

For having a four year start on adding teams, Birmingham has really dropped the ball.
