This will most definitely be a year I sell my entire season.
Finally glad to get back to OOC home and homes though.

This is a rare SEC L in the scheduling department
Rare?
I’d say it’s par for the course.
I wish we’d kick Vandy out. I’d rather play Nichols than Vandy, or really I’d rather play Texas or Auburn.
And 8 game sec schedule is so stupid.
It should be 10.

Yeah, it's trash. You're gonna make me go back and look at what it was 15 years ago to see what was worse. I guess you're referencing the Katrina year?
Just look at our conference opponents alone over the past 15 years or longer. We’ve always had traditional opponents on there. I think
I speak for a vast majority of LSU fans when I say, WE DO NOT WANT VANDY AND SOUTH CAROLINA on the schedule back to back years. I don’t mind seeing these guys once every 5 years or so but come on! We have zero fan interaction with these two programs. Zero regional rivalry. Aside from a potential Nashville road trip what does this do?
LSU aside are we going to see another year where Georgia does not travel to A&M? Looks like it. aggies joined in 2012 and UGA players and fans have still not gotten a chance to play at Kyle field. That is unacceptable

False. They did a solid job at retaining all of LSU’s traditional opponents except Auburn and State. We accepted it because we figured it was a one year break and in 25 we’d get at least one of them back along with possibly getting Georgia Tennessee or Texas.
We kept Bama, OM, Florida, Arkansas, and A&M. All things considered that was solid. They did the same for most other SEC teams also.
I’m just saying. As a fan that loves tradition and the history behind long standing series games, getting slapped with two programs like Vandy and Carolina which we have zero history with is trash.
Hell, OU isn’t even a SEC program and we have more recent history with them (03/19) that will bring some juice to that series. I don’t hate the idea of having OU permanently like I do Vandy or Carolina

Heck of a point.
And to that point, I think it would be more beneficial for every school involved if we played some smaller TX or LA schools that are in need of exposure and on the come up. Instead of playing 1 of our 8 conf games vs vandy or SC, we could play Tulane, Tx State, UTSA, SMU, Baylor, Tx Tech etc..... or just add an extra conf game like they should have done in first place
I really am excited to have 2 elite programs join.
Obviously A&M and Mizzou are doing fine now, but before they got added, they were decent football programs at best, nothing special. At the time, I thought it was kinda an interesting add.
It always should have been Oklahoma and Texas and now that we got them, the SEC is fumbling a little bit trying to decide where to weigh new potential rivalries vs old ones. It's a tough decision.
Do I want to play florida and auburn every year going forward? 10000000%. A bit of a traditionalist myself. But like you said, we get to keep our main rivalries and big games which is huge, as well as open the door to new rivalries.
LOL a lot of back in forth in my head there, but overall I think that the problem would be easily solved with a 9 game conf schedule. I dont get why its so hard for them to do.
