LSU and Arkansas hadn’t played each other since the 60s prior to ‘92.
and only 6 times total since WWII.

so unless you’re REALLY old, there was no history between those 2 teams.

while not a ton more, we did play Auburn a few times each in the 70s and the 80s.
including a rather well know game only a few years prior to expansion

So Nicky was upset having a 9 game schedule with Aubie, LSU and Tenn. How 'bout an 8 game schedule with Aubie, LSU, Tenn and throw in UGA and Georgia
