This was the one where LSU fans could really think, why not #1?

After giving up a devastating 90+ yard screen pass for a tying TD, LSU came back and won.Day game or not Tiger Stadium was on fire.

Many posters call this the best game in Tiger Stadium history. Definitely seemed like the most important game I was lucky enough to attend.

That was top 3 in atmosphere/excitement in my 44 years of watching games in Tiger Stadium. Amazing for a day game. Wish we could do that now.

Definitely the best day game atmosphere in LSU history. The crowd was jacked up and loud from pregame all the way until after the game. I remember Mark Richt saying that when Georgia scored on that 90-yard screen or whatever late in the game to take the lead, he said he thought that would quiet the crowd. Then he said the crowd began chanting "LSU...LSU...LSU" and he said it was the loudest he had ever heard any stadium get. Great crowd that day.

Yes was intense and changed the total complexion of the program
Back when they wore actual knee pads and not short pants like today

Got there early because I didn't have tickets. Bought 2 in the lower bowl for face value. Game Day was there as well. Loudest 2:30 game I can ever remember.

Inside and outside the stadium. There was a buzz the entire weekend. Tailgating was loud.

When I was a kid, my dad took me to my 1st LSU game versus FSU in the oranges on the field game (I was immediately hooked). This Georgia game I was able to return the favor and brought my dad to it. I was fortunate they were two of the more iconic games in Tiger history.
