I don’t think the result changes any if Clark plays instead of leavitt, but I don’t think it’s fair to write off Clark bc of where he started his career off.

We have no way of knowing that.
I would bet a lot of money that he would’ve been at least a little more composed on some of those throws.
But also Leavitt had some massive runs while also missing multiple easy big plays and TDs.

Since I haven't seen Clark have a negative play this year to date, I think is a much more disciplined passer and adequate scrambler. If we see much more of this level of passing competency going forward, I don't know how LK can't make the change, just like he did last year at OM.
I hate the offensive style that LSU runs with SL at QB. There are very few passing plays that are successfully run as devised. Chambliss had like 80% of his as planned. That was the difference imo.

Agreed just by how many men were open all night thats proof lane has a great system and can scheme guys open.
You just need a qb to accurately pass to them. I don’t think Clark is a superstar yet but I think he can throw a pass on target better than Leavitt that was the only difference that matter.
I even think the defense would’ve been better without that energy vampire leavitt in.
A basic system with clark is better than Leavitt playing if he can’t hit open men your fighting against the defense and your own qb .

It’s crazy that every year for the last 5-6 the best QB at LSU is the back-up and the dumb arse coaches we pay millions to can’t see it.

Not sure about that, Sam is really good but got into his own head early worried about making a pick.
He needs more confidence staying in the pocket longer rather than pulling up to run most of the time.

After over 50 years watching football, I’ve come to believe that at the top levels of competition, it comes down to the quarterback. Chambliss was the difference. If he had changed uniforms at the half, LSU would have won easily.
This isn’t to say Leavitt is a bust but he’s not playing at as high a level as TC.
