I would rank the following reasons we lost:

1. Trinidad Chambliss
2. Blake Baker Defense vs mobile QBs
3. Sam Leavitt missing all the open WRs
4. Lane Kiffin Red Zone play calling
5. Pete Golding

Saban lost to UAB in 2007, but he also won 11 SEC championships and 7 national titles. Kiffin? Nothing. Hasn't even made a SEC title game. Ever

He won with Lane Kiffin’s players. Just saying next year all of these guys will be gone and he’ll be left just him and his hoodie.

Lost to an Ole Miss team that Lane Kiffin put together... next year we'll see the real Pete Golding and Ole Miss! This is not a team Pete Golding put together. Watch out for the LSU team next year that Kiffin will have in his 2nd year in Tigertown!

Golding has a team that is a majority of veterans who made the semi-finals last year, while wearing have a team made up of transfers and the remains of a 7-6 (3-5 SEC) squad.

Top 10 opponent away game in the most hostile environment any of them have ever played in, and losing by a td (which honestly isn't even as bad as that. Really it's losing by 5 yards or so).

Nobody should catch shite for that game.

Sure, there were mistakes and that first half was horrendous football by all involved on LSU side.

But the way they took control of the second half is encouraging for the future.

The defense broke on one drive in the second half. That's all it took though. Hopefully they learn from that.

Such a dumb argument. He literally just beat Kiffin and his $50M roster head to head.

Feels like we lost to Trinidad, probably the best QB in the college game, who also was playing at home in their most anticipated game.

My understanding is we don't play him again in the regular season so we should probably be ok.

This is all true which makes Baker look great IMO but Sam wasn't playing the best defense in the league, probably not even one in the top 50 and yet he still sucked arse. We will see tougher defenses

This is as braindead as bitching at Saban for letting Les squeak by him in 2007

Too early to tell but I remember another defensive coordinator that took over a great team in 1987 with a great QB and led them to a 10-1-1 record only to be fired three years later for having one of the worst programs in the SEC. Pete Golding may be the next Mike Archer but we won’t know until Trinidad Chamblis is gone!

Pete is going to always be a problem b/c he's smart and he's comfortable in who he is. Plus. Ole Miss has money and a very good front office/player personnel department.

No, couldn’t have missed the mark more. Golding is an alcoholic who will fall flat on his face post Chambliss year 7. All there is to know about their garbage program.
