The schedule is set up really good now

With all of the injured and out players, we get McNeese after 2 big SEC games.
Sam can rest the hammy
Reps for Keys with Whit out and other LB rotations
More time to work on Star position to see best fit
Watkins rests while other WRs get playing time
Berry more reps to earn more playing time while Jones carries a light load
Continue to look for best TE rotation
More time to look at OL options

Not gimme games, but all winnable if the team stays focussed. The hope is that we sit at 7-1, Sam has become comfortable with the offense, we figure OL out, Green comes back, the other WRs start to show out and Berry becomes a complimentary back to Jones.

KY and State both look a lot harder than before the season and Jordan hare is Jordan hare. Only next week is easy and I hope we lose no more to injury the rest of the year.

7-1 going into November would have this fanbase on cloud 9. Im only a younger millennial but I highly doubt LSU has ever hosted two B2B top 5 ranked matchups before. I’m rooting for Bama and Texas to keep winning. I want TS to be the best environment in all sports those nights and nowadays that requires a massive showdown.

You must not be watching other games. Both Kentucky and State will be tough games. These are not typical years for either team. Kentucky is good in the trenches this year. The QB for Miss State is crazy good.

The 3 games after mcneese will be tough with some possible top 25 matchups in there

Both teams are better than what everybody expected.
It wouldnt surprise me if we beat Kentucky by 20+ points. They just dont have the QB play to deal with LSU's defense.
Miss St might make it entertaining for the 1st half.

This SEC isn’t like previous years. Kentucky, State and Auburn are no pushovers.

More concerned with KY than State personally. Mizzou mailed that game in….on the road. They got lazy and gave that game away.

A couple of things are true at the same time:
1. The next four games are the “easiest” part of our schedule.
2. We should get to 7-1
3. We have to bring our A game in all of them as all of Kentucky, MSU and Auburn are really good and all three can absolutely beat us.

Kamario Taylor worries me. He the exact type of QB that usually torches a Blake Baker defense. Rocket Arm and extremely mobile.

I said to friends before the season started, our team would be in good shape being 3-1 after week 4 and here we are, but unfortunately with some key injuries. Our loss was a one-score game that took the home team & crowd to the limit. Looking forward -
UK goes to SC before they host LSU. This will be tough game on the road especially if some of the injured guys are not available. With that said, we have the better roster, coaching staff, and should be able to pull away in the 2d half.
State plays Alabama & a bye before coming to Tiger Stadium. We'll learn a lot more about State next Saturday, and hopefully get some good tape from Bama on how to defend K. Taylor and exploit State's D.
Aub plays Tenn, bye & GA before hosting LSU. I hope both Tenn & UGA take a little bit out of them before we come to town. I like the matchup following a physical GA game.

Kentucky ON THE ROAD has been a thorn in the flesh of LSU teams since the early 1970s. They used to put us in purples when we played up there. The game always has a strange, northern feel to it.

we better play lights out in KY and AUB.....or we can easily lose!
SEC is super balanced this year, at least at this point in the season....thank God we dont have GA and FLA this year.....
