But a struggling offense, an uncomfortable quarterback, mediocre o line, a defense that still can’t stop a mobile quarterback, culminating in a loss to ole Miss: it’s a carbon copy of last year.

It’s ok for people to be pissed/disappointed in this product-I expected a much more competent team under Kiffin and they just do not look like a playoff calibre team

You expected kiffin to be Jesus christ and turn a brand new team with brand new coaches with offesive roster defencies to at WR, RB, and O line to come in and dominate everyone didn't you? Haha. You silly bastard.

I do agree that the most fervent and confident LSU football fans will finish the season with a feeling of disappointment.

What they see in their mind's eye WRT the true nature of this team is a little bit better than what reality will demonstrate WRT the true nature of this team.

LSU plays a QB who needs to win the game with his legs, rather than his arm, because his legs are his QB strength, not his arm. That will be a legit concern going forward.

And yet we only lost by 1 score on the road against a team and their 6th year QB who shouldn’t even be playing that gave every fiber of their being for this win?

For 14 million I expected something better than this. That was downright awful.

You realize we also lost to this ole Miss team on the road by a score last year as well?

It’s kind of pathetic to in one hand argue this team can make the playoffs and in the other beat your chest about keeping a game close against Ole Miss lmao

I’m not going to overreact to 1 game right now, especially under a new staff, away game at a place that wanted absolute blood. Any coach with any team and facing chambliss is going to have an extremely difficult time winning.

However, the one thing I was hoping to see improved this season was overall physicality. We’re still getting dominated on the Online, and similar to the prior regime (I know small sample size with this staff) the D just don’t make stops when it’s a must. I’ll give the new staff the benefit of the doubt losing this one on the road in the environment, but things have to change or irl will be a 3-4 loss season.

Patience, sir.

I liked what I saw from the players last night. The coordinators were too far inside their own heads for the most part.

Agreed. No real improvement. We are who we are. Middle of the road. aTm will roll in and out either a win next week.

Jones ran for over 100 yds. Our running game (physicality) was what got us back into the game.

dominated on the Online,

This and the fact that Chambliss is legit a Heisman contender explains the loss.

And if you were to watch our D Line on slomo. playback you would be appalled. Eaton was just bear slapped and side stepped like a rookie on one occasion. Like a total novice.

We are top 15 but will have to earn that. Especially if Green is gone for the season.

With the money he was given to improve the roster and what he was paid. Yes. That’s what he’s as supposed to do. His crap isn’t going to go over well if he doesn’t win.
Is Landon Clark worse than Leavitt? Cause there is a pattern emerging with Leavitt that is not good.

1) We dominated not one team under Kelly like we did Clemson and the 2nd half against LA Tech.
2) Last year’s defense would’ve allowed far more points from this year’s OM team (Note we had the murderer-abetting and arms hiding RB on our team last year).
3) If you expected more than a 9-3 possibly 8-4 season, your expectations were unrealistic.

This is a tough league, and Chambliss is a top class, veteran talent, older and more experienced than a number of well known NFL QBs. Leavitt is not in the same ballpark as Chambliss and probably never will be while in college.

We have no playmakers on offense except Green and he is gone. 8-4 type team at best

It’s not about just the money. When you put that many players together it takes time to gel and learn their strengths weaknesses. We lost because Chambliss played like an NFL prospect. We will only go as far as our QB takes us.

in his first year, 3rd game is supposed to be playoff ready? Ok got it. Money dont mean shite. The team has to build and mature. If somebody says money, go ask Ohio State how that works out for them.
