Isn’t that what Oregon Ohio St and Ole Miss did last year? How is that working out?

All you are doing is purchasing the Bear Alexander quitting type.

No we need to lock in people who want to be at LSU that have a high price tag.

One team will be in the playoffs and the other should be in over Bama soooooo not sure the point you are trying to make is hitting home.

Well 2/3 are in the playoffs and the third at least has an argument.

You can’t ignore the portal anymore.

What do you want LSU to do? Drop the program? Spend crazy money on proven or unproven players?

Uh those three teams are currently ranked #1, #6, and #13 in the country...

Oregon is undefeated and OSU was a few plays away from 12-0. Loading up on portal players can definitely work if done right.

It worked out well for ole miss too. They improved a good bit on defense. If it weren’t for a fluke loss to lsu they’d be playoff bound.

Dude, what are you talking about? Two of the three teams are in the playoffs. Ole Miss is right on the edge.

...LSU is unranked.

I’d say pretty well.

You guys make way too big of a deal about transfer portal vs high school

There is literally no guarantee that a kid will stay here, ever. How long were we courting Bryce Underwood?

Just get the best guys. I don’t wanna hear that shite about “they need time to learn the system.” We change coaches every few years anyway. Abandon the House approach and make things as simple as we can because most of these players are dumb as frick.

And we try, until teams get competitive and try take them away after we were banking on them coming for almost a year. How’s that working out?

If they WANT to be at LSU they shouldn't require high price tags.

Hard to argue that it isn't working for Ole Miss as well; they have gone from below average to consistently above average.

By Ole Mrs standards, anyway.

It will be interesting to see the rebuild after this year, though.

Better than spending money on players you train and give experience to, then they bolt.

look man, we're gonna have to start spending money at some point, you're not gonna get by with NOT spending it.

you're fixated on programs that spent money.

LSU elected not to spend, how's that working out?

Not how this works. These mercenaries in large do not care about your favorite school.

It's honestly not bad for Ole Miss, either.

Imagine what they'd be without those guys.
