I may have overreacted to your post but you still assumed things about me and my trip. With that being said this post was not made for arguing it was made because I know there are several posters traveling to Amsterdam this month and we are all in the same boat....

Wow on so many levels to this response. Should have stopped your response before you started it. Sorry you have a negative opinion of a beautiful country full of history. Also, the fact that you "think" I can't afford "large home ownership" and that a remote cabin stay in "weed friendly" area...

Flew out early last Thursday, was through security in less than 20 minutes. Parked at US park to avoid the parking issues. Returned noon on Sunday, baggage and pickup were a breeze. Side note, the airport is really nice but already starting to show signs that it wont last. Dirty bathroom...

It was an amazing trip. Will try and do a review (with pictures from some of the hikes) soon....

Just got back. Stayed in Canmore from July 20-26. Perfect weather the entire time. If you plan to do any higher elevation hiking def go in July. Several of the days there the upper peaks received snow....
