I am curious and maybe someone knows the answer, assuming this is a "temporary" injunction, could the follow up hearing fall some time during the season and then have to vacate any games he took part in? That's the only concern I have assuming they grant this ... Hopefully someone who knows more than I do can provide some reassurance

This is no different than Trinidad Chambliss getting his case brought in front of an Ole Miss alumni judge. It’s all a joke and should be treated as such until the NCAA is disbanded. They brought this upon themselves with their unequal punishment of rule breakers, dragging their feet on cases with athletes and etc. They had their time to shine and abused their power. Now they’re being mocked and shown to be the fool they’ve always been.

I will point out the EXACT MOMENT that the NCAA "jumped the shark". Remember when several UNC basketball players were found to have taken a FICTIONAL class for credit? That obvious very, very serious infraction was discovered and you remember how they ruled? They said "because that 'class' was taken also by non-athletes, there would be no punishment." There was absolutely NO punishment...no probation of any kind.
Here is what SHOULD have occurred. ALL the students (athletes and non-athletes) who took that non-existent class and obviously got credits for it should have been EXPELLED!! No appeal heard...blatant CHEATING of the highest order. If that had been Louisiana Tech, the Bulldogs would still be on probation .

seems like wade is timing this things so the judge gives him eligibility and then he can delay it until the season is over, then who cares. vacated games don't mean shite

A preliminary injunction is longer lasting than a temporary injunction or TRO. If he's granted a preliminary injunction, the chances of that being changed before the end of March is pretty low.

But this is a Southern grad judge that isn't going up for re-election due to age.
He might not have the same motivations as the Ole Miss judge.

I understand that, I just am curious why Bediakos second hearing was like 3 weeks later in his situation. Hopefully if he's granted this one they can delay the follow up if that's the direction we are going

His twin brother graduated from LSU law and is also a judge. I think this looks less sketchy if he grants it than if it had gone in front of his brother. I know it's supposed to be randomly assigned but I think we all know that's not always the case. I think we got in front of someone who we feel very good about... Just my opinion

Because Bediako received a TRO which is only good for 10-20 days. A preliminary injunction on the other hand is basically a mini-trial and lasts until the entire case can be heard later. Usually there is no later trial because the Judge has already told you how he intends to rule.
Looks like Luis chose not to pursue a TRO and focus solely on the preliminary injunction.
