This is the guy everyone said had no shot and I felt the same way but with all these ruling in different sports and a BR judge I now feel like he has a good shot and he completely changes your team and their ability for a deep run. You are talking about adding an All-American to your roster. How often do you have that opportunity. Get him and the Euro guys and sky is the limit depending on health and how this team gels together. Would be a deep talented team with tons of experience

Do you think we should have paid players under the table for decades like we have in football and men's basketball? Or should we only win the honorable way?
I don't mean this to sound like an attacking question even though it probably comes across that way.
I'm genuinely curious about your view on that, and if it's consistent with you being against LSU using the court system like all the other schools that take winning seriously are.

Today is the day, lets see what happens

LSU has sent some decent players to the Boston Celtics
I'm just glad they are finally returning the favor

I’d be surprised if this judge doesn’t rule in Luis favor.

Yeah, some people sort of brush this off with "oh, this paying of players has always been happening." Not really. A FEW top notch guys were paid but the vast, vas majority of players just got the scholarship, etc. NIL has raised this entire system of payment to a gigantic new level. Now, add in the possibility that players who have signed pro contracts might be able to come back and play again in college once again in brand new territory.
I don't know if this would be judged legal, but the simplest solution for college eligibility is what the NCAA is proposing 5 for 5 meaning you can only be eligibile to play in college over a 5 year span. That solves multiple problems including the pesky transfer rule. Remember when magically Shea Patterson went from Ole Miss to Michigan and didn't have to sit out a year...the NCAA blinked on that one since the rule in stone was "if you transfer from one FBS program to another, you have to sit out 1 season". Shea Patterson didn't have to do that.

Lock for tournament and a potential sweet 16 team imo
Starters
Dent
Clark
Luis
Niang
Dessert
Bench
Dioubate
Santos
Ruzic
Ugochukwu
Bashir
That’s a scary roster and best we have had in awhile

I think Fridays addition of Double D makes us a lock for the tournament. Luis gets us past the second weekend!

Anyone know what time this is going down?

Thought I heard 1:30 but not sure

roster would be talented and deep. I am excited to see what they can do. Only downside to roster I see is the lack of true size and depth down low. That could end up being their downfall in tourney. We would be very experienced and all but only 2-3 guys over 6'7"? How can we hold up rebounding and defending against teams with a lot of size. I know we have length and athleticism but will we hold up against teams that can pound it down low. One of the taller guys, Santos, is not known for his D and rebounding. Either way should be a fun season and knew it wouldn't be a perfect roster this year or any year due to the landscape of CBB. Very much looking forward to a tourney quality team and see what kind of noise they can make. Free RJ!!!

Marcio Santos is 6'8" 250 pounds. More of a shorter/sturdy big man but will play Center when Dessert is out.
Michael Ruzic is 7'0" 230 pounds. Not really sure he is the rebounding/interior defensive guy, but he's tall.
I think we'll hold our own with our big men assuming all these guys are eligible/healthy all season. If we lost Dessert at any point, we'd potentially be in trouble.

Anyone have a hearing in the 19th this morning and stopped by Judge Johnson’s court room?

Dent and Luis would be an elite guard duo. One of the best in the country.
I am not holding out too much hope for Luis, but if he can play, we will be a good team.

Surely the crack team of LSU beat reporters is all over this. Right?

Serious question about Luis. How bad was his knee injury & is he back to pre injury form? Looking at his highlights & write-ups on him, its hard to believe no NBA team took a serious chance on him.

Coaches must always have adequate depth to be successful despite any and all injuries according to some on this board.

He had a lingering knee soreness issue, but had surgery on his groin for something unrelated. Has been actively rehabbing both and should be able to play when season starts if he's eligible. They might bring him along slowly, if he is allowed to play for us this season.
