The next OC will not be a splash big name guy

Kelly has a formula.
Kelly has the gameplan. Sloan, Wilson, Hankton and Davis run their rooms. The OC executes. Not knocking Denbrock, but the next OC isn’t going to be some guy who dazzled elsewhere with his own offense.

Putting these random thoughts on the recruiting board instead of coaching changes or the rant definitely makes a lot of sense.

I disagree. LSU will be able to pick up a good OC at this point after our recent 5 year stretch and our talented players.
Do we get a young up and comer that has HC aspirations, maybe, but we also might get another Denbrock who is consistently in the Top 30 in offense.

I think Hankton and Sloan are interviewing for the OC spot this bowl season. Either one will outshine the other or they will be co-OCs if they work well together.
I just don't know where that leaves you on play calling.

Haha for real. It surprises me how 98% of the people on this board can actually survive.

Who cares?? As long as he makes the big splash while at LSU I’m fine with it. I like the Wake Forest OC. That offense would fit at LSU imo and it’s very easy to pick it up. With the athletes we have, that offense would be a good fit imo.

You the know the answer..... all these "people" will tell you how much they know about who CBK is and how he operates.

I think what the OP is trying to say, which I agree with, is that this is Kelly's offense that Denbrock was executing (part of the reason Denbrock was hired was becauseof his familiarity with Kelly and his offense). Yes you need a guy who can execute and call the right plays, but I don't think Kelly is going to bring in some OC who wants complete control of the offense and to run it however he sees fit.
We will likely end up with someone who is comfortable running what Kelly installed and can execute it at a high level while also bringing in some new wrinkles. That may not be a big name OC, which is fine so long as they are a good play caller.

If I’ve learned anything about Kelly so far is he could care less what the fan base thinks, he’s gonna do what he thinks is best, for better or worse.

personally, i think it will end up being Sloan... some here are saying they'll go after Monken, but i don't see him leaving the NFL to come here, and we know Sloan is a superior recruiter, so I think they just promote from within...
it could be worse...

I agree. If Kelly ever starts listening to some of the clueless negative clowns here he will packing his bags after that season. FWIW most every program has the same "excellent arm chair" head coaches as we do here. There is one clown here who thinks Kelly is a horrible coach despite his first 2 years at LSU is better than Sabans first 2 years. Posts like that make me think half of every fanbase is just plain stupid.
