You're not wrong. I'm not saying that Burch is necessarily coming to LSU, but the "signing with the rest of his teammates" line is absolute and total bullshite. I can say with 100% certainty (because I myself had a signing ceremony like this) that a lot of signing ceremonies (maybe even a majority) aren't the ACTUAL signing of the NLI. And it certainly isn't the actual signing if you don't want it to be. If he'd made up his mind, he'd have signed his NLI in the privacy of his home, faxed it in, and then just signed a random piece of paper at the actual ceremony. We've already seen this turn out to be BS once this cycle (Rakim Jarrett). It's absolute 100% wishful thinking. The fact of the matter is that he didn't sign on ESD because his mind wasn't made up. That's not to say that he might not still sign with USCe after all, but he was, at the very least, undecided on ESD.

Scott will always pick LSU. Heck, they could be playing the KC Chiefs and he would pick them by 1 point, 24-23

SC might be really desperate to land this kid. But does Muschamp really think one player is going to turn his program around??

I think the kids "handlers" (whomever they may be) have been using LSU as the leverage to exact ALL demands from USC. They know Muschamp is DESPERATE at this point and is hanging by a thread at USC. There were probably some promises of "benefits" made just before signing day causing him to commit. His signature, though, was the proverbial gun to USC's head to make sure the promises were kept. When they either weren't, or the family realized they could exact a little more by holding off on the signing, they took a trip down to Baton Rouge just to let USC/Muschamp know they were deadly serious about potentially going elsewhere.

If you don't think these kids and their families don't know EXACTLY what kind of commodities they are in the world of high stakes recruiting at SEC schools, then I have a few magic beans to sell you. I think he ultimately signs with USC. But not before he ultimately made sure Will did everything short of bending over and spreading his butthole to get him there.

Probably so. We rarely "ante up" bc Ray Tanner wants to be the exception to the cheating deal and he thinks he can play the moral high ground card and have it work (obviously a big ol' FAIL) but if you wanna win..well, do what has to be done. Spurrier did it anyway over Tanner's objections when he was here. Hence how we were good back then.

No but Muschamp can't afford to lose this type of talent from his backyard especially if he's feeling his seat getting hot.

If he cannot land a kid in his backyard with all of the built in advantages we had then he is done before the season starts as far as fans go. So many of us have cancelled our memberships to the Gamecock Club trying to send a loud message to them it's not even funny. He has a head harder than a fat lighter stump and that's gonna be the downfall of him if he doesnt wake up and adapt.

what does Coach Boom need to adapt?

we don't keep with USCe that much...we just assume USCe is just behind in talent versus the UF, UGA, and Clemsons of the region.

I've been to one game at USC, I enjoyed it a lot... great atmosphere, great fan base

it was when LSU rolled into town the 2003 season after losing to UF at home, Holtz was still coaching...

I'll never forget Holtz saying how it didn't seem possible with 85 scholarships that LSU could be that much more talented .., but they rolled over us" (paraphrasing)

LSU went on to win the National title that year..

You can’t expect as a program to not cheat and then turn and fire the HC for failing in recruiting when everyone he competes against for recruits is doing it.

It’s a broken system, and that means you either cheat or you fail in recruiting. Even cheating doesn’t guarantee success, but not cheating certainly precludes it.

The bitch of it is that the current roster that Muschamp has cumulatively has a higher composite score based on when we signed the guys than at any point when Spurrier was here.

Muschamp wants to play old school ball focusing almost exclusively on his baby, defense. He meddles with the offense and won't let the offensive staff do what they were hired to do. He started off here by hiring Kurt Roper as OC, the same doofus that he had at Florida. He fired him and then promoted McClendon to OC and hired Werner as an offensive analyst and as an assistant to help with the Qbs. He also brought Dillman as S&C coach who was also S&C coach with him at Florida. They had an awful time with injuries at Florida under him. Even worse while he was here.

He fired Werner and Dillman at the end of last season and demoted McClendon. He then hired Paul Jackson as S&C coach (he was Ole Miss' S&C coach and he also used to be on y'alls S&C staff). He replaced BMac with Mike Bobo as OC and he will also coach QBs. Bobo was on Georgia's staff as OC when they had Aaron Murray, Jacob Eason along with many others during his time there. He's an outspoken guy and probably the first coach Muschamp has hired that will not be intimidated by him. Muschamp won't easily be able to meddle with Bobo as OC and I think that might play into why Muschamp hired him as odd as that may sound. He also hired Joe Cox, a former Georgia QB, as an analyst iirc. He's basically hired all of Richt's former staff now.

If Muschamp can keep his hands off of the offense and let Bobo do his thing while Muschamp focuses on what he knows best, defense, the new hires and shuffling of responsibilities among the existing staff just might work. For his job's sake he better pray that it does.

Can Burch please tell us now he’s coming or not so this girl can go back to her board, prepare with the other Cock fans which 4 or 5 games they might win, and then Burch and his mom on the morning of Nov 15, 2020, wonder why in the HELL didn’t we choose LSU, especially after this Tiger arse whupping we just received per those said Tigers we almost chose. But Mom at least you got that raise and we only have 2 more years left here.

And fine..I'll quit posting here. My apologies for not trolling and attempting to discuss this with y'all like an adult.

He's already done whether the fans admit it or not. The program really isn't improving while other east programs (Kentucky, Tennessee) are.

You are confusing "won't" with "can't".

I didnt know about his meddling issue but I used to wonder what the hell he was doing when he was at UF to get so many season ending injuries.

This was Miles downfall and Orgeron's saving grace. Boom needs to learn it is easier to win scoring points than keeping others to less points (especially when you aint scoring a lot)... He needs to go full bore rogue and just let it rip and see where it lands.

You have quite the finger on the pulse of the world of Jordan Burch. I have to ask, and please don't be offended, but what exactly is the minimum distance allowable in the courts' eyes with regards to you and his physical locations? I'm guessing its in the 100's, no?

Pretty simple. I'm a travel nurse that specializes in trauma. I generally work 12 month assignments and then take 3 months off between them. I just returned to SC from Wilmington, NC.

And to the smartass who asked about how much distance I have to keep from Burch...I also help write and research for a sports related social media site and have since its inception. Lots of info to be gained from that.

The amount of vitriol from the majority of posters on this board is beyond ridiculous. To those that chose to reply sensibly, it was much appreciated.

Have a wonderful evening and best of luck this season.

For what’s its worth, your posts came off as reasoned and well versed on his recruitment.
Not sure why you were treated that way by some.
