All good info but are you considering that yall suck, will continue to suck, and your coach sucks?

Makes it that much funnier that y'all won't flip him what with that title and everything.

ETA: And please stop acting like a clemson fan. It's very unbecoming.

As of today there is confidence in Burch landing with LSU. Dandy Don specifically (who does have credible sources) was on the fence with Burch for quite some time but now has gained more confidence in him going to LSU. 247 guys also feel good going into signing day including Wiltfong.

Would make for a somewhat awkward ceremony for Muschamp if he does indeed choose LSU.

I think we still got a shot. Do you think we seriously have no shot and he is 100% Gamecock? Serious question. He sure keeps the telling our side what they want to hear too.

Would be a huge shock to me if he doesn't stay in SC.

Unfortunately for SC, they probably had to use too much of their kitty on him. Mom played her leverage like a champ.

Much bigger priority to SC than to LSU.

Understatement.

I'm guessing Boom can be there because of his son. That is quite intimidating to choose against a coach that is standing in front of you.

LSU's optimism is based on his visit here. LSU lost ground on USCe's visit which is why they're confident they're signing him. He hasn't made a final decision yet so it could go either way but the high is on USC right now. Whether he changes his mind after the high is gone is anyone's guess. Longer he takes the better for LSU.

It would be weird with Boom there but he would know his decision by then so atleast he could be prepared if it was LSU. I do like that it’s private...would be harder to pick LSU in a public ceremony.

It's really hard to get a read on these SC fans. I can't tell if they are actually 100% confident, or if they just want it so bad that they're projecting 100% confidence.

They definitely seem to be sticking to the whole "Burch promised O he'd visit if we won the NC, and he only didn't sign in December because he wanted to sign with the rest of his teammates" stories. Seems naive to me, but I could be wrong.

The way to handle that is just tell him. you are signing with LSU ahead of time.

I don't think so. How would this explain DD having 50/50 confidence on Friday and being MORE confident today?

Yeah. Trying to get a read. I live in SC and some of my Gamecock friends weren’t confident this weekend. They don’t see why he wouldn’t have signed already and why the trip to LSU. Didn’t add up to them. I think he just needed more time decide.

Agree but these guys reporting some confidence today are guys that dig and try to get the latest, most up to date info(particularly Wiltfong) so I'd bet they've gotten some vibes since last night(post visit) that is creating optimism. Wiltfong doesnt put his name on info if he doesn't believe it. It's encouraging whether it comes to fruition or not.

Because it's based on people who were around him at his visit at USC. That's why you have the insiders reporting what they are. Right now he hasn't informed either staff where he's going yet. DD doesn't have sources outside Louisiana he has no clue what's going on the USC side. His optimism is from what LSU's coaching staff is saying after his visit here. More than likely they think they can land him because despite the high at USC visit he did not give them a firm commitment on the spot. It's a signing day decision.

It's that simple really. He didn't give any commitment to them after all the high. The high rides down, he thinks had about it, negative for USC. If recruits don't let their emotions takeover a visit then that's not a good sign for the home team especially when you're contending with a program that's an NFL factory and just won a NC. They're also moving to a more attacking defense on the dline front which has to be attractive. He'll think hard about it.

You think it took him a week to hear what LSU's side said about his visit here? Come on, man. He knew all about Burch's visit to LSU last week, when he thought it was 50/50. He heard something over the weekend that increased his confidence.

Scuttlebutt is that Burch called O this weekend and told him he was sticking with SCAR.

No, I'm saying they're confident because he didn't give USC a commitment after his visit. Hence, the optimism from LSU's staff.
