It's unclear if Dessert has been to Baton Rouge yet, but he is listed on the Anadolu Efes 26-27 roster. I haven't seen anything indicating how long the team is willing to wait for his final decision.

Ruzik is in Baton Rouge working out with the team.
I said this was going to happen when it was announced that wade was mainly going after all over seas players.
I never understood why he didn't just make a roster of mostly American players and sprinkle in a few top over seas players.
Now they are having to scramble and get guys to even make a full roster.

To clarify, as of today, none of these players have been ruled ineligible by the NCAA; they just haven't been ruled eligible yet (there has been no official public comment by LSU), and Wade remains confident in the roster.

They both signed pro contracts and received payment. I guess Wright can argue he wouldn't have signed a pro contract if he'd known the new rule would be put in place and that he could sue for eligibility. However, he is currently making these moves under a TRO that will likely be stayed by a higher court.
Luis voluntarily left college, signed a pro contract for the 25-26 college basketball season, and received payment. I'm not sure how his case is any different than the Bediako case. Given how low-level courts have handled these cases, it's likely the first judge issues a TRO/injunction and passes the buck. However, Luis likely won't play college basketball again.

We will see if that makes a difference in this case. The NCAA has argued, and courts have agreed in previous cases, that signing a contract paying above per diem is the trigger. Luis made nearly $600k while being hurt and not playing.

This is a good point. Luis decided against asking the NCAA for a waiver, so it wouldn't be the NCAA making the decision. The judge who issued the TRO in the Louisiana case that made 16 football players temporarily eligible did something similar.

So, it's certainly possible in the Luis case.

By the way, neither Dessert nor Niang showed up in the boxscores for their teams in the first round games of the European qualifier games in July.

It's been widely reported that Niang is playing in the Window 4 round, with games the 28th - 31st. Either he's not on campus, he's on campus but leaving, or the Euro press reports are inaccurate.
