I knew we already had two first team All-Americans on the squad last year: Jalen Reed & DJ Thomas. I had no idea we had a third!

What an awesome collection of talent we had and I was so spoiled, I didn’t even know it!

Note to the McMen: if you keep increasing the number of pseudo-studs that were on the team last season, it reflects worse on your hero, not better.

Well if you remember, we had discussions about him playing through injury. Same with Thomas, same with Reed. Thomas is now the PG of a top 5 program, Reed went to the defending champions, Sutton and McKinnon made NBA summer league teams. It just goes to show you losing a few players were that critical to our season last year. Funny how all of this circles back around to shite I was saying a year ago. Some of it is coaching, sure. A lot of it was bad luck man.

Who has ever said they were all Americans? A couple have pointed out that Thomas was a big talent, but the rest are probably good depth. I’ve said CMM underperformed, which is why I also said there was talent that should’ve been retained. Wade’s approach was way riskier than it had to be if he had retained some of that talent.

You should suggest taking arguments about CMM to another thread. The discussion about the merits of offering a couple of the old players, should they become available, is relevant to the recruiting thread.
