I’ve watched pretty much every coaches interview since the natty and one thing they seem to keep mentioning is wanting more position players from the portal. Seems like the biggest position need right now is that last OF spot, no?
Jordan also seemed confident that we will have some hs freshmen competing for starting positions. A little more confident than Jay.

Sort of the way CJJ builds his teams. He always leaves a need in the OF for a freshman impact bat. Otherwise, they can get some run in at catcher or DH. No real open spot other than 3rd OF spot but we have JUCO guy coming in on that as well.

If Will Davis is going to lose him, I’m sure he’d much prefer it be to LSU than Arkansas.

Jay is now on Ruiz. Someone on another board said it seemed like he was close to signing with Ark tho

Same song and dance for the GoHomahogs
Spend a ton of money bringing in the top portal players
Get hyped as the best team all season
Choke in the postseason
One of these years it has to work out for them, right?

Just saw latest mock from Callis on MLB.com. No surprises from it. Seems it’s been pretty consistent with Fauske and Young in that supplemental first round area of the draft.

Kade Anderson - 1 Nationals
Jaden Fauske - 34 Tigers
Quentin Young - 40 Dodgers

The last Southland player of the year barely sniffed the field for LSU. He did get that crucial hit against Tennessee.

Dalton Beck was not the Southland player of the year. He was the newcomer of the year. I don't know who started that or why so many people have repeated it without looking to see if it's correct.

The idiocy on this board has reached all time highs after this title run.

It’s a shame some of the idiots from the Rant have found their way over here.

John Eads interviewed Josh Jordan and was asked who makes a big jump next year. He mentioned Arrambide, Jay also mentioned him in Miked up interview. Then mentioned Curiel, John Pearson and Rizy who he said could be another Shores.

I'm expecting huge things from Arrambide next year and yea I think Rizy will be a big piece too. We have quite a few guys who could make a big jump. Obviously Schmidt and Williams are good candidates, I think Brown has more in him than what we've seen so far and it'll be his money year. Guidry was being hyped up a lot last offseason. Milam didn't have quite the year offensively that he probably hoped, but we know it's there. Jay talked a lot about Reaves improvement defensively toward the end of the season. Noot and Ware have high ceilings. The pieces are definitely there

Where is Reaves playing this summer, and is he playing 3B there?
