It’s interesting that most of these kids entering with “no contact tags” are ending up at Arkansas or Texas it seems

Now just think about all the guys they tamper with that don't go there.

Texas was after at least two of our guys and at least one of Tennessee's.

It's a very tight rope to be walking. Eventually the hammer will come down on someone to be made an example out of.

Hopefully it will be a brash and cocky coach that tends to stir the pot. Or one that likes bananas.

Doubtful. There's no consequences. Have we even seen any consequences in football?

I hate when people complain about tampering because there's no way Jay isn't tampering too. He would be dumb not to and Jay isn't dumb. There are no rules in the current state of the NCAA

there are rules. The main ones being do everything under the table discreetly, dont get caught, and if you do get caught then deny deny deny. As long as the feds arent involved the NCAA cant do much to you.

Jay just said on Off The Bench that we are about to take it on the chin with this years draft. He’s probably exhausted for many reasons but he sounds a bit frustrated about that.

One of my bigger worries is Marcos Paz. I’ve been thinking we got a Kade Anderson situation but he may have gotten healthy enough just early enough to show some scouts something. He threw a private bullpen for scouts and threw at the combine and did well. Waiting to see if a team will take a chance on him or if he falls enough for us to get home.

Last year we lost 4. I agree, probably 5-7.

I mean we’re gonna have to lose a bunch. Musso broke down the roster, and with the 34 roster limit, if everyone who is expected to sign pro signs (including Frey and Ware), and without adding any more portal players, we have 23 of 34 roster spots filled and 18 kids in the incoming freshman class. If we don’t lose 7 to the draft, we’re gonna lose them some other way.

Hopefully we get the best 11 to fill the 2026 team needs.

Damn. Ga Tech spending some cash this offseason. I was worried they would poach Taylor, who committed there in HS.

Lachenmayer interview with local station.

Says he was told he would pitch out of the bullpen. Could ascend to a starter if he develops a 3rd pitch.

Seems like a great kid. Was on a visit when LSU beat WVU to go to the CWS.

Said Jay had told him that he wrote his name on a whiteboard after they played earlier in the season, as someone to target if they went into the portal.
