re: But Jay got yorke in the game

I hated seeing Yorke too, but PH for Patrick was the right move. He hasn't had an AB that he looked comfortable at in some time.
But who else would you PH? Carraway? Reaves? Clauss? None of those are very inspiring options

Only reason for him to come back is if he's betting on himself exploding next year to the point where teams find him too good to pass up and even then, his signing bonus may still go down.
There's the reason of him just loving it here and wanting to redeem this season, but anyone with any sense around him is gonna talk him into accepting whatever offer he gets this year

Well I hate to break it to you but odds are the rotation will start exactly the same next year as this year. Casan and Schimdt have the stuff to be legit SEC starters. They just have to grow up mentally. You saw what a positive mindset Casan Evans has the potential of last night.
Moore is likely coming back next year as well and he fits the Sunday starter role

Will they actually start LSU v Auburn early? It looks like that will be certainly possible

While I see what you're saying, I think in that exact moment Braun was gonna use it regardless. He knew that was the type of moment you save them for. They even panned over to Jay right after and he was nodding in agreement

I also finally got around to listening to Armstrong's live episode from sunday. He kept mentioning how big the class was quantity wise and it's making me think that after Jay got raided by the draft last year, he intentionally took a ton of guys to make sure he has what he wants coming in. If he ends up with too many then I'd imagine the developmental guys get sent to JUCO

We definitely need an influx of lefties in the bullpen next season. Santi is probably gone, Wiliams and Plog don't have me convinced they'll drastically improve so that just leaves Lach.
We've got 5 committed from HS right not with one almost guaranteed to not make it to campus and the other may end up a position player if he makes it. The other 3 may not end up here either
I'd think Jay is gonna hunt for guys like Sweum in the portal, but so will all the other top programs. I'd imagine everyone has an issue getting talented LHPs to campus with the emphasis the MLB puts on them
At a minimum it's fun to dream. I'd take the freshman righy too.

Yea I only remember Brauns with the bases loaded and that one looked lower than the review indicated, but it was a good time to try it regardless. That pitch made it 0-2 when we had a chance to blow things open.
Most of the challenges were done by the catchers the whole day across every game.
The one the OU SS used on the 3-2 count against Guidry pissed me tf off

Yea he was getting annoying lol.
The play with the throwdown is gonna cause something to happen in the MLB with this. In hindsight, Milam should've played through like he didn't know it was called a ball, but still that was a messy situation for a minute

Another shite post from you.
People say this about every reliever that has success and thinks it will translate perfectly. Then Jay gives them a shot to start and it doesn't go so well.
If it ain't broke don't fix it

Jays treating it like a privilege. Throwing it around itself is a form of showboating. Don’t showboat when you make 3 errors a game. Don’t mind it tbh
The outfield not warming up is weird though

Who needs the short porch in Right when you hit everything 400+ to left center?

True but they will lean more one way or another between pitching and hitting at times.
Some teams also really like college players while others tend to draft more HS guys. The A's have been college heavy lately and it seems to working for them

In that case to satisfy both, we should pull for A&M to knock Ole Miss down and Florida to knock Knetucky down, while also possibly(?) boosting RPI
Rooting for Miss St should still be fine. Both them and Auburn should be penciled in already

Good point. I didn't look at it from that lens but probably should. Any team that could push us out, we should be rooting against.
Other SEC Baseball teams to root for this weekend
Posted by Glizzy_gang on 5/7/26 at 9:54 am
If I'm not mistaken, we should be rooting for the following teams this weekend as an RPI and SOS boost:
SC
Tennessee
Oklahoma
Miss St
Vandy
Basically, any team that we played going against a team that we haven't/won't play
Bonus: Florida as well so that when we play them next weekend our potential wins look better for the eye test (may not matter much to the committee though)
