What about Syracuse? He was committed there before the coaching change.

Correct. In the sense that no Ivy League or Service Academy can give you financial aid for strictly athletic purposes.

They can offer him a position on the team, admission to the school, and money for a reason other than athletics. He got an offer.

Les will have 3 guys in 2018 who simply arent under center QBs.
I hope we open things up once Leonard leaves. I'm not rushing LF7 to the NFL though.

Two other Heisman winning college QBs who were at or just under six feet tall include Troy Smith and Manziel. I think they both measured at 5-11.

Troy Smith the 2006 hesiman trophy winner was 5'11 in cleats. The short argument is tired, get over it. This kid can flat out play.

There are more offers. I just listed the legitimate ones. I figured Cuse was out the picture.

As I've stated many times we will sign a QB on NSD. Don't know why you people never listen. Congrats Scott!

But people who know Scott and have stood next to him say 5'10" at the tallest.

Majority of people estimate height wrongly. Plus we've seen some stellar QB's around the 5'10 mark. Russell Wilson and Manziel come to mind. Wilson especially because of his arm, ball placement, athletic ability, and intelligence. Scott reminds me of Wilson in those ways and an inch of height difference won't make that much of a difference.

That also got exposed against a good SEC defense against Florida showing every bit he was 5'11 limiting his physical ability in that game. I guarantee you they have a lot more failures at that height than they do success stories compared to more physical specimens the big programs go after. If you want to play that card it goes both ways.

Guys like Brees are anomalies not the norm.
