He’s a little stiff as a runner, but has really good feet & strong cut back ability. Explosive when he turns his shoulders. I really like him. He was the 2nd best Senior r-back I watched in-state this year behind Citizen

Really a lot different type of back than Emery was in high school. He does need to add a little muscle weight but he will be a stud in college. He does a lot of things great.

I’d take Trey Holley over him

While I understand redshirting will not be what it once was ( because of the transfer portal ) Ajay Allen is too good of an instate athlete not to be offered, have a chance to get bigger and become a great player 2-3 years from now.
Just playing Devil's Advocate here...He's not gonna get PT as a freshman so what about going to lower classification and get bigger/stronger while he gets to play at the same time? Then he comes home a better developed player.
That's how minor leagues/feeder programs work and maybe I'm being cynical but that seems to be the path CFB is on.

EDIT: I haven't seen Allen. My premise can apply to nearly any recruit.

I agree. The kid is very good. I’m not sure how much contact Frank has had with him though.

Don’t know anything about the interest on our end but I’ve been told he has A lot of interest in us. Also was told from someonelse that he’s hoping for a Bama offer. So not sure which one is accurate.

Bama was looking at taking him earlier in the cycle.

I'm sure he would jump on the lsu offer right away.

I wish the last coaching staff would've offered jaylin lucas.

Heard literally told me he’d 100% commit to LSU if he gets offer and they offer AJ.

You’re not. Pretty soon high school recruiting will be a thing of the past for the SEC… they’ll live off of the transfer portal and the end result will be older teams on the field. Pretty soon we’ll be saying 18 year olds will get killed in the SEC like we say they will in the NFL. Maybe it will be normal for top prospects to play a year in the Sun Belt or SWAC

Nebraska just hired Applewhite who recruited him to TCU, so they might be in play now.

This is one recruit we should be engaged with - and may very well regret not bringing him in for a visit and pushing for a commitment.

I kinda want to show Kaleb Jackson a clear path to playing time while adding Holley as another top shelf runner.

Emery
Cain
Williams
Kiner
Goodwin (hopefully)

That should be enough depth for 2022

Not too concerned about RB this cycle
