In 2002 LSU had not won the NC in 44 years, so obviously there is no way we could win 1, let alone 2 NC's in the 6 years that followed.

This is the laziest, most myopic argument I hear on this subject.

We do a lot of shite that doesn't seem to quite add up -- like losing despite recruiting well on a perennial basis. We've had a shitty decade because of coaching. It's that simple. It's only a matter of time before a coach capitalizes on what he's given (e.g. Slocum and Sherill).

If Sumlin's that guy, A&M will be doing what it did in the 90s. That's not delusion or hyperbole, its just the level of of performance that is proportionate to the resources of the school.

There are some schools that are always going to be down in football with a good season here or there, but most of the big time programs go through cycles of dominance to doormat, every program goes down for a while including LSU, Bama, Florida, Texas, the latter two look like they are going down hill all ready. These recruits memories are very short, if you're good for 5 years that means you've been relevant since the hs junior has been in middle school. Doesn't take a lot to change the tide in CFB

I have no issue with that and wish him and his buddy well at A&M except when they play LSU.

I don't think we will have any issue finding a replacement for Parker.

I have a serious question: is it possible that Les realized we had too many WR commits and RSJ on the board along with Desean Smith as a receiving TE and Les and company started ignoring him with the feeling he would decommit?
I can't help but wonder if they are indifferent with it right now.

Is it possible? Sure. Is it probable? No. Sounds like a fan trying to find justification for losing a recruit that EVERYONE seemed excited to get just a few weeks ago. This happens every year.

I'll trade Parker or any of our WRs for RSJ...

Come on RSJ...

Just remember, Parker is a fairly tall WR. This could be good news for LSU and RSJ.

Probably not but you never know...

TAMU is in the battle with Texas and LSU for RSJ. This can't do anything to help them.

No worries. The rich (LSU) just get just richer with other rich players. While the wannabe rich (TAMU) will lure a few a long the way. No big deal.

This is plausible. There are tons of strategies and considerations that a recruiting coach needs to implement in such a competitive environment. Les is strategic like that. It's part of his genius.

I think RSJ ends up and LSU anyway. I'm not worried, all 5'9 of Noel Ellis will be holding RSJ to about zero catches for about zero yards.

I'm sure we're telling RSJ that Les can't wait to switch him to Defense

Or pointing out that LSU takes lots of Texas kids and they always underperform. They must miss that home cooking.

Or pointing out that he and DeSean Smith are about the same size and both are perfect Flex TEs like Jimmy Graham or JerMichael Finley.

Either way, I don't know where RSJ goes. But I don't think a player his caliber worries about depth charts and other recruits. He knows how good he is

Dee Everett? He goes to my dad's church. I heard he was gonna start this year, any truth to that?
