re: Sports Betting - LSUTigers00884
I don’t why you got downvotes. But I believe you’re 100% right. Vegas must capitalize on public perception in order to make money. They need 50/50 on each side to make 10%. Any swing on that number (60/40) can affect their earnings by lowering their profit to less than 10%. ...
I bet far more than a couple of things per day, and I have been very profitable. I’m also calculating my edges based on my modeled outputs relative to available lines.
Care to explain?...

re: Sports Betting - LSUTigers00884
Good stuff man. You made any money betting? How long have you been betting? Thanks for the advice. ETA: Your LSU season bet is a good one. I agree there, too. Also think you should consider ULL as a season bet. They'll win at least 5. I just don't know if I want to wait ALL season for that...

re: Sports Betting - LSUTigers00884
Good point. It must have slipped my mind that UConn is no longer power 5. I wonder if that's going to negatively affect their level of athlete. I still think my point stands true. But I'll have to look deeper into their talent on the team. ...

re: Sports Betting - LSUTigers00884
Here's one: Central Florida -24 (-115) UConn +24 (-105) So you're saying UCF has to beat UConn by 25 to cover the spread. Consider this: UCF is replacing ALL 12 of their coaches. The HC is a first year HC. UConn has a veteran HC who has been around (previous HC at UConn & Maryland)...

re: Sports Betting - LSUTigers00884
Thanks for your responses. I’m considering college football. There are a few lines where I could foresee the spread being too wide or too close. But I understand why Vegas does it (to get even betting on each side). Is there a forum or website any of you get additional info from? Like wh...

Sports Betting - LSUTigers00884
Does anyone here on Money Talk bet on sports games? Curious to hear what smart people who know college football or NFL have to say about it. There are a few games I’m looking at that have a bad spread set by Vegas IMO. A college football team is similar to a stock. Both have history and ...

re: Just put in my first application on a Mortgage - LSUTigers00884
I presume you don’t have 20%. Consider this: buy a “fixer upper.” Self contract. Get a construction loan. Add 20% additional value - this equity upon completion can be your 20% “down payment” with 0 cash ever going down (besides closing). ...

re: No talk about this RB Offer? 2019 RB A’montae Spivey - LSUTigers00884
Spivey was clocked running a 4.74, 40 yard dash. Seems a little slow and you can tell that he looks faster on film. So not sure what his actual 40 time is. I found his 40 time [link=(https://eliteathleticevents.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/2015-Birmingham-AL-EAE-Combine-Results-Video-Links1.pd...

re: Can you negotiate with home builder? - LSUTigers00884
You can negotiate with just about anyone, including a contractor (never heard the term master planner myself). If you're buying a home from a builder like DSLD or DR Horton, their prices won't change much. If you're building a custom home, then get multiple quotes from multiple contractors. ...
