You might also consider The Green Mill. It's an adventure from where you're staying but it's legendary and adds music to the mix.

It's not somewhere I'd normally put on my list but Vol. 39 is right by The LaSalle and is probably the coziest place you'll find in walking distance. Just in case you need a break glass in case of emergency recommendation. Sometimes on date night it's nice to not have to spend a lot of time getting back to your place.

A coworker said to check out Sanctuary (formerly Vermilion) and also Machine.
Haven't been to either. Just looking at them online, they look like the kinda places I try to avoid.

Bisous is worth checking out if you haven't been, but I just can't bring myself to like it all that much. Been a couple times and it's just so, so busy. The menu is creative, but the number of drinks they're pumping out, especially on a weekend... I've gotten a couple pretty bad cocktails.
Well I’ll scratch that off my list. I just don’t bother with crazy busy anymore.
Yep Parachute is my part of town-ish so been a few times and love it. Also a fan of Anelya right there
Have you been to Double Fun yet? It looks very promising as well.

Gilt Bar (The Library is their basement cocktail lounge), Arbella, Dearly Beloved, Gus' Sip & Dip (might be a tough one), Three Dots (probably the most popular/touristy recommendation), and The Drifter (a classic under Green Door Tavern). Of these, Gilt Bar and Arbella likely what you most may be looking for.
I would add Sparrow to the list. I've tried to get into Gus' twice now and have given up due to having to stand in the cold.

I'm of similar age. Here are some of my favorite places to have drinks with my wife for date night:
The Drawing Room
Scofflaw
Victor Bar
Hopleaf
Cindy's
Meadowlark
The Getaway
Apero
Nine Bar
The Hi-Lo
Punch House
Haven't been yet, but Charis Listening Bar and Bisous are at the top of my list to check out.

Can anyone tell me where to find candle sticks and lightbulbs dammit? This candle berry project is kicking my arse!
Candle holders are easy in the apartments on the northwest of the Dam Battlegrounds map. Ruby Residences and Pale Apartments. You might get lucky and find lightbulbs there too. If not Grandioso Apartments in Buried City.

Where is the best place to see all the shows happening around town?

Arc Raiders seems ok but i hate the pvp aspect of it. I want something casual enough (im 40 and have limited time to play most times). I thought about like eve or star citizen but dont know enough really. Have i been missing anything?
I'm also a 40 something who enjoys more casual and am finding solo Arc Raiders to be pretty chill. It's incredibly cheap compared to most games so I'd recommend trying it.

This is the key to the game. It’s the hurdle to make it great
Run free loadouts for solo looting. Use good shite for squads.

What are some easy to intermediate hiking trails that offer good scenery? Definitely want to get out into nature while we are there if it works out.
Ecola and Oswald State Parks have some easy hikes with great coast views.

In general, I love Portland - Nob Hill, Slabtown, and Pearl District are bunched together and loaded with shops, restaurants, bars / cocktail bars, and breweries. If you cross the river into Buckman, also a great collection of restaurants and cocktail bars. Plenty of recommendations for all if you'd like.
I spent some time in Sellwood in September and it was lovely as well.
Also spent a good amount of time in Astoria and along the coast and loved it. I was with a friend who grew up there and we skipped Cannon Beach for some less touristy areas. There's natural beauty everywhere

The biggest indictment watching this fiasco.......hustle. The one thing you want to see is hustle. The Celtics B team played with fire. Sans Jose, the team played like Willie, soft as baby shite.
Let's give Deandre Jordan some respect. Dude shouldn't be in the league and out hustled everyone but Jose.
re: Lake Michigan - What’s some good summer beach towns to hang out a few days?
Posted by keakdasneak on 10/26/25 at 3:44 pm to xBirdx
If you’re flying in, you might be able to get a flight to Traverse City. Otherwise I’d fly to Detroit or even Flint and go north from there. Getting out of Chicago adds annoying time

Where are you coming from? The best ones are up north. Frankfort, Glen Arbor, Traverse City, Charlevoix, Petoskey. I’m partial to being close to Sleeping Bear Dunes

There's a balance you need. You put the lineup of Fears, Poole, Murphy, Williamson, queen on the starting lineup Your bench becomes Alvarado (until Murray is back), hawkins, Jones, bey, missi You gotta shuffle constantly and idk if wg can do that
Agree with this except Jose should only get minutes when injuries/rest dictate and we should get rid of Hawkins and Peavey can pick up some minutes. And you’re forgetting about Looney

If you make the Oregon coast, make a stop at Ecola State Park near Cannon Beach.
Just went to Astoria with a friend who grew up there and this is where he took us instead of Cannon Beach. Absolutely beautiful.
It doesn't have the photogenic rock formations, but South Jetty beach right outside of Astoria was great for a secluded walk on a huge beach with not many people around.
Also just a heads up that there are a lot of closures at Mount St. Helens currently.

Maybe I'm crazy but tampering is pretty evident if tried. Anyone with any common sense can look for signs and run a verification check, all good hard wallets have the ability.
People are far more likely to lose crypto from fishing attacks and social engineering or signing a malicious contract. Anyone that has done any basic research would know not to use a wallet that had the seed word recovery already filled in.
BestBuy, Amazon and others sell tons of wallets, how do you know the UPS/FedEx guy didn't pull the switcharoo on you if you order from the manufacturer?
Security comes from knowledge and mindset, no matter where you purchased your wallet.
I don't disagree with a lot of what you've said. It's your conclusion that doesn't make sense. Yes, there are many attack vectors. Why would you willingly provide one?
