Why is everyone so confident in RSJ to LSU?

amazing that A&M is getting all these guys. Im hearing RSJ is a lock to A&M as well.

they will have a top 3 recruiting class with a shitty 6-6 team. i dont get it. they havent been relevant since the 90s, plus i dont know how a player goes to Austin or BR and then College Station and commits.

It's the SEC status that's helping them tremendously...

I'm sure being the only Texas team in the SEC has something to do with it.

Just imagine if RSJ goes there. That would give them both LINK ]6'6 Derrick Griffin and LINK ]6'5 Ricky Seals-Jones

Griffin is a long shot to qualify academically.

That sucks Big Kat. What are you hearing about RSJ on your side? My UT friend says he doesn't believe he goes there after all of the drama.

Yes, Everett will be starting at either CB or S. They are looking at him at both spots but he's obviously one of our 4 best DBs that will be on the a lot.

Great find by Sherman. Too bad he wasted his RS last year

Or pointing out that he and DeSean Smith are about the same size and both are perfect Flex TEs like Jimmy Graham or JerMichael Finley.

Is this shite serious? He's not going to ever sniff TE at LSU...you're insane. I don't care how big he is.

I think Texas is the favorite. Mack all of a sudden is a lot better with him playing hoops too. He met with Mack and Rick Barnes a couple days ago.

A&M and LSU are still in the picture. As is Baylor to a lesser extent. But don't count anything out when Baylor ba$ketball i$ involved. And I say that realizing everybody cheats. But Scott Drew is on another level. There's a reason other B12 coaches won't talk to him

None right now. But when RSJ committed to Texas, he really liked LSU. His parents wanted him at Texas though. That might play into TAMU too. Not sure how far Baton Rouge is for his family compared to TAMU.

He lives closer to College Station than Austin. But it's only about a 30 minute difference I believe

You're putting your personal bias onto HS kids.

It's our coaches jobs to convince these kids College Station is the best place to spend the next 4 years. If the coaches have my personal bias they'll be selling the truth

This. It's not a huge mystery.

Yup. I wouldn't doubt TAMU becomes the second power in the west next few years. Depending on if BCS goes to a playoff system and how they pick teams in this system, SEC is a major selling point. TAMU could sell playing for them now because they suck so bad too. Early PT, play in a more dominant conference and get noticed by scouts more. If Sumlin turns out to be a good coach, TAMU will be a problem in a few years.

I'm expecting our old rivalry with them to get renewed.

I am going to guess that this probability has been known by the coaches for some time. Probably why we have so many WR on the list and committed already. I have posted a number of times about the number of WR's, like "thought we were full" etc. This is probably why.

Oh, when you put it that way I agree. LSU has always dominated A&M and the SEC-W now that I take off my maroon colored glasses that I'm looking through

Agreed. Those of us who were fortunate enough to experience it in the past have missed the hell out of it.

Good stuff ahead.
