We understand that LSU can afford to turn down the 15th ranked CB in the country. We can't.
I think that ranking is pretty generous, especially considering he's more like 5'8 and runs closer to a 4.7 than a 4.4. But to each his own.
Just figured y'all were more excited about the prospect of getting into Louisiana more than getting Noel, individually.

Does not compute. He had middle of the pack offers.

He's an upgrade to our talent level and, when considering his offer list, it's clear several high profile schools felt the same
Definately a good get for A&M. Back in the 90's when A&M was good they would get some guys from La, more from the West part of the state, but i expect some battles with A&M in the future in Houston, the Golden Triangle and even in La.

We've been taking your scraps for several years. We have three La. DBs in the two-deep and our starting MIKE is from La. Two La. DL are in the two-deep as well.
And remember, Sherm had three high profile La kids committed at one point last year (Bourque, Hawkins, Philipps). We also publicly led for Devall for a good while. Granted, none of those kids signed but the point is that we've been around for awhile.
But if we can finish second in La., we'll be adding a very nice supplement to our Texas based roster.

FSU, AU, and Tenn. all have high profiles. They're not LSU or Bama, but national brands without question.

How has Floyd Raven looked? I really wanted us to take him, and with our recent transfers, I'd love to have him for depth right now.

See last page.
But as mentioned, he'll start this year. He's physical and a hell of an athlete. He's a little light between the ears which is why he only ran STs last year, but I think Snyder's simplified D has helped him.
But the real gem is Deshazor Everett. Also a 2011 kid. One of your bros could tell you where hes from. Only other notable offers were Arky and TCU. Without question the best DB we have.

Raven and Everett are so much more physical than the DBs that we have fielded the past few years. I think both will be very good for us although only sophmores next year.
Some of you sound like a bunch of texaggers down playing Noel Ellis. The kid is a stud. LSU doesn't want nor do they need him at this point. I am not so sure however, that if his dad hadn't ran his mouth (I don't know the whole story) that he wouldn't be in the fold for LSU right now. I am very glad to have him on board.

His legit offers suggest otherwise. Tenn and A&M were his best legit offers. LSU wasn't recruiting him but gave him an opportunity to come to camp.
I think Ellis has benefited from being a good player on a good high school team. His measurables don't suggest "stud" college player.

His dad wasn't the only one to run his mouth, Noel was quite pissed that he didn't get an early offer and was asked to earn an offer at camp. The kid went as far as to ask the recruiting services to remove LSU from his profile.

whats the eta on yall winning the sec west?
Unless texas am finds the next cam newton out there the chances of anyone besides bama or LSU winning the west for the next 5 years is 0

That's just retarded to predict 5 years in advance

Next 2 years, or maybe 3, OK, but 5, way to early to call that. In 2009 who would have guessed Florida would be 7-6 in 2011?

I would put money on aTm not winning the west in 5 yrs. Probably have really good odds too.

Honestly, he really wouldn't be. Garner is a better prospect and he didn't get an offer. It's Jefferson and/or Robinson and done. Willis and/or Goodman if they want in.

When's the last time y'all won the shitty big 12? 1998? And you think you stand a chance in the best conference / division cfb has ever seen in the next 5 years?
