There were people within the “inner circle” of LSU athletics who celebrated when Saban left. Like Saban, Kelly is very much an outsider who can come off abrasively. Undoubtedly he will piss some people off and there will be attempts to undermine him from certain segments.
I suspect this is one of those attempts. Polian probably cut someone off who is accustomed to being able to hang around and get whatever info they wanted and now we are gonna twist every word the guy says.
There’s no benefit to LSU recruiting or LSU in general by bringing this accusation to this forum except that it served the purpose of getting some to blindly follow the negativity against BK and his staff.
Now is it possible that this stuff has some merit? Of course. Is it also possible that it’s being misrepresented just as Polians comment about us being spoiled was misrepresented?? Much more likely.
The more I read this forum the more I have to question the motives and allegiance of some posters.

The "spoiled" comment was before the season and in reference to how elite our last 2 kickers were.

I guess he's got Toviano pinned to A&M then? Probably shouldnt be surprised after the David Hicks commitment, everyone thought OU only for it to be A&M for the Texas kid. This feels the same, with everyone thinking LSU for a bit now for another Texas Kid.

He was one of the best special teams coordinators in the country.
As far as polian, multiple people are saying he comes off as an a-hole, so i don't believe it's an agenda.

Coming off as an a-hole and being toxic to our program/recruiting are two very different things. No bigger a-hole in college football than Saban and he’s the best recruiter out there.
He may be a problem but no one has provided evidence to support that notion. I agree that he comes across as smug/arrogant but no one should stone the guy for a few flippant comments.

I realize McMahon is well respected. Maybe a better way to phrase it was not many could have expected this big of a drop off IMO.
I give some leniency to the fact that LSU is short on scholarships, which can really impact special teams coverage units, etc.
Still, the myriad of mistakes we have seen points back to things like poor evaluation and preparation IMO (i.e. coaching).

The same guy who says Polian called lsu spoiled (which wasn’t true & completely out of context) is the one saying that he told an in state recruit he didn’t need to recruit him. But here you are eating it up

I was wrong about the spoiled comments but I like Coach Kelly and the whole staff really. I don’t have an agenda other than posting relevant information on a message board. Just because it’s not all sunshine, doesn’t mean there’s an agenda. I don’t know Polian personally and I really don’t give a shite if he’s fired or here again next year. I’ve heard the same thing from multiple people on different occasions.
Like I said earlier, he’s not going to run the program into the ground but he’s not going to be the guy to maximize our recruiting. If he costs lsu a few difference making recruits a year, then that sucks. If he’s difficult to work with and people like Frank leave, then that sucks.

Idk how Polian is recruiting or as a person in the building behind closed doors. But I and every lsu fan knows he's been a terrible ST coordinator so far with little to no improvement. That is objectively a fact and there's no hiding or running.
He just seems like the good ole BBQ buddy we are accustomed to having from the les and O days.
Not shocked at all nobody from the media has called out how terrible ST has been and where the accountability is. If Kelly keeps saying "we have to coach better" he'll learn soon enough that shite will eventually get old.

Right he said it earlier, before any games played, he was referring to Tracy and York and Atkins three great kicking specialists. If he would’ve said after Florida St game that would be a bad look. He did however sound like a dik after the early July run. He said something like “ Well y’all happy now” that was his first statement on recruiting.

I don’t neither but i can confirm it’s a lot that a lot of people don’t know about him and I’ll leave it at that. As far as him being in the know, i can also confirm that’s not all they way true.
