Out of all the stuff I said, people want to cling what I misrepresented. I obviously didn’t go read what was said and in what context, but that totally discredits everything else I said.

How about that special teams play today?

I have never once defended Polian’s ability to coach special teams lmao

The recruiting class up until this point speaks for itself. I won’t deny that maybe some in-state kids were rubbed the wrong way early on, but it sure seems like the staff has found their footing there since the beginning of summer.

Oh yea, and your boy Dumbrock is more detrimental to recruiting than any one else on this staff

Not knowing who the new coach would be and knowing how we stand with recruits is totally different information. A guy’s contacts not being in the loop on one doesn’t mean shite about the other.

I’ve been telling people not to get their hopes up about Kelly getting rid of Pollian because of how well this class has trended since mid-Summer. He also DID do a very good job with portal evals on the whole despite some of the comments here, considering that a huge chunk of our secondary, a key DL starter and an OL starter came from there.

However, if he doesn’t end up closing well on this class or ends up causing issues with a guy like Frank who is essential to keep on this staff, then I don’t see how Kelly can justify him staying. This isn’t ND and he doesn’t have built-up credibility here yet to push back against the AD. I don’t think Woodward will allow this to go on if some of this smoke you guys are talking about turns out to be legitimate and he knows about it.

Where does this come from & why even say this like there are issues??

Frank makes way more money than Polian does by the way.

It was mentioned earlier in this thread. I’m not claiming any sources. I simply posed a hypothetical that IF some of the things being thrown around in this thread are true, he will be gone no matter what Kelly thinks about him.

I think all of the coaches should be judged on the recruiting class. Like I said earlier, I think the issues with Polian are the difference in 3-4 recruits a year. Those 3-4 probably end up being important but not going to be a drastic ranking difference. In fairness to Polian, he can’t be the sole blame for all of recruiting if they don’t finish strong.

Wreckless? So should we all just pump sunshine and not say shite about anything? Let’s just star gaze and arse pat each other.

You don’t have to pump sunshine but at least get what was said in the correct context. I will just assume everything else is slanted as well. The truth is probably right there in the middle

Polian is the recruiting coordinator only by title.

That’s all I’m going to say about it

Any chance Harvey Broussard is a secret commit and will sign on signing day? Just a strategy to keep the other WR commits committed.

The special teams has sucked, and I don't see anyone defending Polian.

But this is the recruiting board, and bitch all you want but Polian isn't going anywhere. I guess there is a chance he could get shuffled around and placed in another spot, but he's a great personnel guy and recruiter, so he will have a spot on staff just for that reason.

Many (most?) schools don't even have a full time special teams coordinator. It's shared between coaches and analysts. For all we know it's just a title and someone else is doing it.
