Why only now would he start being aggressive in the portal?

You can't look at the totality of this season and understand why Kelly may be feeling a sense of desperation?

I mean, when he said he wasn’t going to spend money on just anyone, he didn’t. So yeah, I do actually believe him.

BK is a lot of things, sometimes even too optimistic to a fault, but he’s also very transparent. When he’s been wrong it’s not really been him lying, as much as just being wrong.

What choice does he have? We need help. Talented, experienced help, at multiple positions.

No completely understand.

Just think we’ve seen this song and dance before in previous years.

I think we’ll be okay

LSU should be aggressive in the portal and on the recruiting trail every single fricking year.

Use every single tool to stockpile talent at your disposal. To not do that is dereliction of duty.

My god you can’t listen. He said the locker room didn’t have the leaders to do it…and he is right. Thank god #18 took over the Vandy game early Saturday.

What that will look like is another story

I'm pretty high on Womack and Reliford. I think Cobbins can be a good piece, and hopfully Carpenter and Jackson can step up.

We also have 2 good recruits in Harold and Shanklin.

Yes and no. I think he looks at this team and he can tell very easily where it is deficient, and where it will likely be deficient next season. I think he will try to fill those holes, and he wants to, but I still don't think he will overpay for anyone, which I don't have a problem with.

What are the donors/benefactors thinking of well under the cap? They are putting up the money but it’s not being used/offered. That’s got to be irritating! What else can donors do? Spend the goddamn money!

Because the perception that all the money is donated money is a false one. It's a major part but far from the majority. The "cap" is the number every SEC coach talked about this summer, 20-22 mil per roster. Know where that number came from? The breakdown of how tv money will be allocated. There's a reason that by the beginning of next season most universities will take their collectives internal. It's the schools money.

You’re not getting Manning.

Nuss will be back next season, if he’s not then Ewers will likely be entering the portal and that’s who you go after.

You call him a fraud. We have some low intelligence on this board.

He won 10 games his first 2 years here. Winningest active coach. Multiple time national coach of the year.

We started this year not really knowing what we had. That left many hoping we were a contender. We fell short and aren't good enough this year. The melting is out of hand
