The main difference is A@M is paying HS recruits what LSU is paying portal players with college experience.Ill take definite starters over OJT guys.

He's got to be committing to ND right? He just visited today.
ND also got outspent by A&M on Kaden Henderson this week and I imagine they want to get back at them with this.

Normally the case. Kids always have a parent pushing one way or the other because of the bag. Kids should make their own decisions due to the fact that they are the ones that need to be happy where they have to spend 3-4 yrs. I think alot of people have forgotten that. As a parent, I want my kid where he is the happiest. A bag is coming either way.
If you’re over 17 years old and use the word ‘bag’ instead of ‘money’ or something comparable, I can only assume you’re retarded…
Best case scenario would be incredibly immature…. But retarded seems to cover it in my opinion
ETA: that’s my old man rant for the day. Back to the price is right

Why do I have a feeling it’s us?

Once again, the highest rated in-state guys are the hardest to keep in state.
This whole idea of the advantage we have with loaded in-state talent and no competition is a myth. It's just as difficult for us to sign these guys as it is for other schools with in-state competition.

Go back and watch his recruitment. LSU never pushed really hard for Simien. He's not the beheameth type OL that Wolford likes. That's not saying he won't be good, but there was no interest in overpaying for him. Royal can be a difference maker so he's a different story, but I don't see where LSU valued Simien that way.

Notre Dame would be a slam dunk if they weren't so far.

sounds like a Jerry Tillery situation from 2015. LA kid who always wanted to go to ND. LSU recruited him hard, as Tillery followed his childhood dream.
If ND is true, glad he's not in CS. Early NSD is still 5+ months away

Wolford seems to like them athletic and fast, which is exactly what Simien offers. I have not seen him go after many mammoths like in the CLM days.

LSU moved on, but Notre Dame has not. I would keep a close eye on the Irish.

We just got commits from a 6'7 IOL Terrance Smith and 6'6 360lb Siale at OT. Those are big humans.
While the Bama OL coach:

At a position known for big men, Eric Wolford likes his offensive linemen especially big. The bigger the better. Within reason of course
And this:

Eric Wolford’s Preference for Big Offensive Linemen
Eric Wolford, the University of Kentucky offensive line coach, is well known for his strong preference for big, physical offensive linemen. He has openly stated that “bigger the better” when it comes to offensive line talent, within reason yea-alabama.com. This philosophy has shaped both his recruiting approach and his coaching style.
Recruiting Focus
Wolford’s recruiting strategy emphasizes size, strength, and toughness. He has landed some of the nation’s top-rated offensive linemen, many of whom are large in stature.

Don’t count out A&M dropping a bag last minute. They did the same thing with Kaden Henderson

That's some serious coping mechanism there. And the Tillery comparison has some holes too. A&M was the longtime perceived leader and ON3 was using the tried and true click bait tactic the past couple of weeks by claiming LSU was "surging".
ND was always around but the assumption was he'd opt for closer to home. That was wrong .
Reports are that he's a "fit" there outside of football.

It can be true LSU wants him but doesn’t think he’s worth what Texas A&M is offering him.

To the fan base losing a highly rated LA kid will always sting, but I agree it shouldn’t anymore.

Not looking good for our Tigers Would like to have the young man but he seems to be looking outside of the Purple and Gold way to much.
