Not claiming to be an insider. Just everybody knows somebody and it's one of those things.
Supposed to announce on Pat McAfee show next week sometime.
Seems to be between A&M and LSU. A&M offering more money, mom prefers A&M but Albert likes LSU.
Notre Dame would be a slam dunk if they weren't so far.
Take it for what it's worth. I don't claim it as fact.

We need Coach O to get momma on board. That's supposed to be his specialty.
I'll add what I heard from one of the recruiting site guys, but don't remember who. He said Simien is a bit shorter than his listed height. Closer to 6'2. Wolford likes tall OL, even OG.
I don't think we are going to overpay for him. Maybe he turns out like Kardell Thomas who was much shorter than listed and was starting to slip a bit in recruiting even before the injury. Then again, he could be a beast. Hard to tell with OL.

what do you want Coach O to do exactly? Pay her out of his salary? LSU is winning some battles where their offer is less, but you're not going to win them all. Calm yourself.

Don’t tell them that. They all believe Elko will manage ego’s the way Jimbo couldn’t. The problem will come from the upperclassmen who have produced and been in the program for several years but feel slighted because these young bucks are making more without playing a down.

Elko is a much better coach than end of career Jimbo.

Sadly they are all getting paid $$$, and their war chest doesn't have limits on it, compared to other schools. Elko runs an elite defense and his system is setup for success. Jimbo was a shitshow. This isnt good that atm is having this level of talent success. Hes a great fit coach wise, and that elite defense scheme and talent is gonna be a problem for a long time of he keeps having success.
Their 3 yr trend in sec is 4,5,7 wins, and they have the #1 class, 12 top 100 kids commited, and lead for simien. I dont see them falling off, if anything hes securing them as a long term issue on par with any elite team / program we play.

I think they will be very strong defensively under Elko. He’s a great defensive mind. I have reservations about their offense and QB play going forward. They don’t have an elite signal caller on the roster/on the way and don’t have a play caller with skins on the wall.

Exactly what they did in 2022.
If they continue doing this and are able to retain a lot of the recruits through their NIL, it's going to make them very formidable. I don't love it.
