Bc it isn’t when consumed at the right levels and carbs from the right sources

Well over consumption

Which like with most things will lead to bad things

That’s why find the right balance with your macros is the way to go and to eat certain things in moderation.

What specifically will happen? (and I don't mean from simple caloric over-eating). Say you eat "too many" carbs at a breakeven level of weight...what "bad things" will happen to you?

I asked to assume no weight gain in the hypothetical.

We’re all gonna die bro. I’m not going to sweat over a PBJ once a week because it has bread.

Part of life is definitely fitness, but the other part is enjoying life. I’m in great shape and I eat bread. (Granted I try not to eat carbs until after I workout ... and even then I don’t go crazy)

However, I’m not going to go keto because it’s both unnecessary and also unenjoyable.

That’s an answer that depends on what the quality of food you are consuming

You know that but are being disingenuous

Bingo

My average of 100–120g of carbs a day isn’t bad for me and isn’t going to cause chronic diseases. I eat tons of protein and fats. I eat high quality food, so when I want to say frick it and have three donuts like today. It has no lasting effects. The issue with causing illness related to diet is people over indulging on the regular with bad food. Bad quality carbs being one of them or processed meats.

Good strawman.

I'm not on the "fitness" side. I'm on the "health" side.

Pick your carbs/pick your quality. Just be weight-neutral.

It absolutely could. And it isn't helping you in that direction. The person who did everything like you in life except only ate 10g of carbs would have a better chance at "healthspan" than you. I'm not saying you should be forced to accept one side of the trade-off. You do you. But there simply is no use in pretending that the effects are health-neutral. They are not.

So your answer is you have no answer to an easy, direct question? Got it.

Actually no there isn't, nobody in the OP are less than 136g and it was a questionnaire. Not a legit study at all.

Give me a break bro. I’m not saying to take that study and use it in your thesis.

But carbs don’t kill you. Everything in moderation.

They certainly can.

I know that. I'm not in the no carb camp unless you are having a specific health issue. I'm a leangains iifym guy.

Eat that sushi son. I was just pointing that out that the study is misleading like a mother fricker.
