Yep, tried the search button but nothing really. So anyway, what supplements and/or vitamins do you consider a must?

I have taken Vitamin D for the past year. Doctor recommended after blood work showed a very mild deficiency. I definitely feel like my immune system has improved and I’ll be interested to see how the Vitamin D level looks in a few weeks at my next physical.

I take SAMe daily for mood and joint health, and also use one of those greens powders like Athletic Greens but way cheaper.

I don’t recommend a daily multivitamin, only take it if you ate really bad. There are some vitamins you don’t want too much of like Vitamin A.

“A daily laxative? Or does it have some other benefit?”

Mg Citrate capsules don’t have any laxative effect until dose exceeds 400 mg daily,I take 200 mg usually. If I work outside and sweat a lot I take 300 mg.

Mg Citrate has better bioavailability than most of other formulations of magnesium.
Can help lower blood pressure, reduces risk of type 2 diabetes, benefits for muscle and nerve functions, beneficial for bone health.

Could be coincidence but I’m 72,BP stays in 120’s/70’s,blood sugar is normal.I’m overweight but take no prescription meds.

I first became aware of magnesium years ago in ICU.We had lots of cardiac pts.and v..fib occurred frequently which required defibrillation(shock with paddles). We started monitoring mag.levels and supplementing those with low levels,( majority of pts.,)V fib events dropped significantly.

Good info. Thank you. My only experience with it is the liquid as a laxative.

Most of us are deficient in Vitamin D, Zinc, and Magnesium.

So I take Vitamin D, and a ZMA supplement.

I also take creatine
