So no retort to Layne's article?

Why? He never takes it in context (though says he does) and takes overtone positions with zero real-world experience in what he states is nonsense. It would be one thing if he gave it 90 days and provided an honest report back, yet he hasn't to my knowledge. He's a great researcher, but has this troubled ability of absolute close-mindedness with a hint of grand-delusion. He is a very smart individual that likes to shite all over real-world applications.

I still love the little fur ball though and he has a place in the nutrition sphere.

edit to add: Addiction is a HELL of an obstacle of overcome. Be it drugs, alcohol, sugar or otherwise. Layne has never had to overcome such challenges and overlooks this approach. People think it is so easy to just. stop. drinking. Or, just. stop. crack. Or just. put. down. the. doughnut. There is a huge phycological aspect being overlooked here in addiction. I've never felt more in control of any cravings as I was strict carnivore, as many others who are insanely more addicted to worse substances. I've mentioned here before the complete lack of giving a shite on carnivore because I was happy with me (probably a hindrance in the real world ).

I cannot express this addiction aspect enough. It is absolute hell. Diet is an extremely important and overlooked ladder in overcoming and conquering.

Necro?

Never heard that before, but it does fit, I like it.

At least it's not like last week's random threads started by spammers? bots? who knows, trying to fish for someone to click links for god knows what.

Carnivore is a relevant topic to this board, and while I don't adhere to any "diet" I do on occasion have a "Carnivore Day" wherein I eat nothing but meat. Not planned, just happens, I like meat and it leaves me satisfied.

While this is seriously an old thread, I'm interested in current thoughts on it. I know one person that does it and in the beginning, he dropped somewhere around 15lbs and he's now ripped too.

I just don't think I can eat meat at every meal, exclusively. Just sounds tedious.

It’s just a rebrand of the steak and eggs diet, just simple way to control calories and eliminate anything that could be causing issues like inflammation, stomach irritability etc

When it comes to fat loss, just a way to control calories and prioritize protein. I kind of end up there most of the time when I diet just cause it’s easy for me the control calories. Nothing special about it though

It’s an expensive diet, that’s for sure.

Im on it. I dont have any bloodwork, but I do feel great and have lots of energy. You will require less sleep while doing it which can result in nights laying in bed wide awake if you try to maintain your old sleep schedule

Carnivore diet?
Never tried it but I'd imagine it can't be good for cholesterol.

That’s not how it works. The same people saying this think the ‘food pyramid’ is correct.

Actually it is cheaper as you are only eating meat, eggs, butter, and water/ coffee. You are no longer buying fast food, Starbucks, perishable vegetables, condiments, spices, etc. Zero waste. Also it is an extreme time saver as shopping meal prep is so simple.
Personally I have lost 55 pounds in 4 months and solved a myriad of health issues. I was at beginning of type 2 diabetes with fasting blood glucose 130+ ( normal less than 100). I now frequently have blood sugar reading in low 80’s. Metabolic health is key to health such as heart disease and cancer. Fat and cholesterol was made out as a boogie man by sugar corporations and others. Data was falsified and scientists paid off to bend the truth. It is published in The Journal of American Medicine Association. This is fact not in dispute. Google Ancil Keys and Harvard Medical if you dare. You will see how corrupt food pyramid and our medical industrial complex is. All you have to do is open your eyes and look around to see how unhealthy and overweight people are today.
I also eliminated high blood pressure and 3 blood pressure medicines. Bad neuropathy in feet gone. Brain fog and joint pain gone. Personally I feel like it has streamlined my life much like minimalist declutterred life. It is a great feeling.
Anyone that is struggling with health or depression should give it a try. What do you have to lose? I personally don’t care as it will drive up the price of meat. ??

I wish TD would make it to where you can see who is downvoting and upvoting. There is always some karen here that always downvotes anything related to eating carnivore/keto. Instead of downvoting, why doesnt this person sack up and provide a rebuttal?

Sometimes I don't feel like arguing a topic.
