I wonder if there is any supplement I can take at night that will give me more energy - pre coffee, pre exercise. I am admittedly low energy by wiring, but it's getting worse.

ZMA or a supplement called Calm which is essentially magnesium.

If you have low quality sleep, good patterns in getting ready for bed and avoiding things that will hurt your sleep quality matters a lot.

Preparing to sleep, blackout drapes, etc does more than any single supplement. Any supp will be best if it's something you're deficient in. Have you gotten recent blood work?

What are your pre-sleep habits?

No electronics 1hr before time to sleep has helped my sleep immensely. No TV, no phones, nothing.. just read a book. Other things that have helped: no caffeine after 4PM, no alcohol after 7PM.

I have had shitty sleep for years until I started these things.

Eeehhh probably not as long as it doesn't distract you. It's mostly about the blue light in screens.

Check your T level. Or take caffeine pills when you wake up.

Stop with the talk radio. Get better sleep hygiene, Google it and start implementing some of the practices.

Get your test levels checked if you are feeling lack of energy period.

Also do you snore and wake up often?

I heard Ben Greenfield mention this item on a Joe Rogan podcast and bought one myself

Chili pad

Made a huge difference for me

ETA: my WOE is now low-to-no carb. That helped my sleep. High carb suppers were a problem for me, didn't realize that until I changed my WOE

I’m in the same situation. I took an at home sleep test, waiting for my results.
I have no trouble at all falling asleep. I do wake up once or twice a night right now from a baby crying, but I fall back asleep quickly. Wake up in the morning and sometimes feel far more tired than when I went to bed. Have aches in different places, mainly legs and feet. Low energy most days. On the weekends I get an extra hour and a half of sleep in the mornings

Tell your GP and get a sleep test done, insurance will cover it. If you have sleep apnea you will ned a CPAP. Don’t risk it, sleep apnea is serious and can cause an enlarged heart among other things.

I flop around like a fish and have for the last couple years. I had a kidney stone this past summer and all my blood work checked out. Run 3 miles a day and libido is solid. Not in great shape but not awful either.
The home sleep apnea test sounds like a good idea. Will take recommendations.
Thanks to all for feedback

Diet is key. I find myself waking up easier when I'm eating healthy,I typically take a pre-workout drink the minute I wake up, then I work out about 15 minutes later. I hate working out early in the morning but it's the only time I have to do it.

I truly wish I felt good enough to exercise in the morning before work. When I lift on a day off work the rest of my day is great. I just feel like death in the morning
