shower kits

Posted by aldawg2323 on 7/7/26 at 6:09 am
im renovating a small farmhouse as a second home/camp on the farm. its a small 900 sf acadian cottage style house. bathroom is appx 48 sf total (6.5' x 7.5'). its time to get a shower kit for the plumbing drain layout. any tips on where to source a 3' x 3' corner shower kit? i see the big boxes have items but would like any tips available here. thank to all
started with redmonds relyte, switched to redmonds sea salt and magnesium powder. drink it everyday. added potassium chloride recently to get over an e coli GI infection

relatives foot problems

Posted by aldawg2323 on 6/16/26 at 5:10 pm
ive a brother who suffered a terrible foot injury in a skiing accident ~20 years ago. the doctors at the time called it a "roofers break" IIRC. for years after he moved well, but the last 8 years his pain has progressively worsened. as an aside, hes stubborn as hell. He works on the family farm in a blue collar laborer role and continues to wear western boots exclusively, and has rejected attempts ive made over the years to help him. i once bought him a pair of no-drop xero shoes and bought him an ATG tibialis bar. i was trying to get him anything to help him help himself. he rejected both of those attempts

are there any SLA PTs this board recommends for someone like this? he just recently expressed the pain is bad enough to seek some help. TIA

suffered a deep groin strain on a front squat in xfit when i was ~40yo. 47 now. i recall it taking ~1 year before it was completely healed, ie no reminder when lifting. Since ive learned of the Starr rehab protocol ive used it for muscle belly injuries

re: broken rib

yes sir. lack of sleep is a bit of a problem. moving around like a zombie at times. yesterday was the first day with noticeable improvement. I spoke to a buddy who is an ortho, we/he deemed it unnecessary for an xray. just riding it out, no pain meds. its living!

broken rib

Posted by aldawg2323 on 3/2/26 at 6:22 am
I stepped through a rotten board on a trailer and landed under my right arm on the trailer's contents. hurt like hell. after a day i think i may have cracked a rib. after looking online it seems ribs heal quickly, and not much can be done other than let it heal. i see no benefit from going to the doc to get an xray or anything else. anyone have experience with this? any tips?
what are some recommended manufacturers?

$/hd to AI cattle

im trying to be a brand new cattle producer, havent even bought my first animals yet. im zeroing in on purchasing a small group to start (5 hd or less). seems that purchasing a bull for 5 hd doesnt pencil out

any producers on here have any info on this? ive never done this before so a complete noob
1 $/straw?
2 is one straw good for one cow?
3 $/hd for technician and their supplies and material, if any?
4 how to monitor animals for right time?
5 what facility needed? typical head catch and squeeze chute? other?

thanks

am i off base here?

thanks, please expand. some places have settled perhaps 2". i assume you mean dont try to get all 2" back in one spot at one lift, but plan to move everything up together as much as possible. this would mean lots of shifting jacks around, or rounding up lots of jacks, but i see how that is a wiser and safer method

pleas expand however if youre willing, thank you

its a small 900 sf farm house. i intend to use the clear pipe w/ water method to determine lift heights necessary throughout. then get under the house with hydraulic jacks and lift the beams and use stacked asphalt roofing shingles b/n concrete piers and beams to maintain the new height

any advice is welcomed. thanks
lbs of grass fed beef and farm eggs daily
redmonds sea salt and magnesium mixed in min 1gal water daily, ideally 2 if outside work day
lions mane from Stamets
heavy weight and resistance training
avoid sugar, though im addicted and binge weekly. when do, do it before noon
dont eat after 5p as goal
blue light blockers in evening
stretch every morning. coffee sitting on floor is good entry

got it. luckily there are some pens w/ head catch and squeeze chute on the farm. are you installing irrigation for livestock water or crops?

thanks for the feedback

i did think of this but don't see much of a market for this in south central LA. any thoughts on where /how to advertise? I've just subscribed to the LDAF Market Bulletin and will look in there (haven't received my first issue yet since resubscribing)
