Does anyone have any experience with Benchoholic? It’s a program that doesn’t get mentioned too often. Just wondering if anyone has run it and their thoughts maybe in comparison to the other PPSA bench programs.

Finishing first week of Filling out the hoodie. We just completed Turnt Up and my lower back was less than enthused by that volume. This seems like not enough (3x5 squats is all this week?) but along with walks I’m feeling a lot less beat up already

its ok to dial back the volume after a tough month, its simply waving the volume.

and filling out the hoodie is a focused on upper body volume. whole point is to feel less beat up.

Please understand I will not share ppsa plans so please don’t ask. Aaron has been very good to everyone here and asked us not to share, he is a 1 man band with a family and this is how he makes his living.

Is anyone running any of his programs?

Just bought "Clean the House". As the name suggests, the focus is on cleans. Looks like a solid program; I'm looking forward to starting.

Just started the last week of Summer Stacked. I am really liking this program. The leg days are a beast.

I run it three days a week. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. And I do cardio Wednesday and Friday.

I’m 3 weeks into this one. It’s been a great program so far.

I like the full body work, 3 days a week.

With jiu jitsu, work, kids, and church stuff the extra day where I don’t have to squeeze in a work out is nice.

Plus I can shift Monday, Wednesday, Friday to Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday if it works better for me that week.

I’m halfway through Summer Stacked running it MWF and running on my off days. I’ve completed most of the PPSA programs and stacked might be my favorite. The workouts don’t have much extra fluff - get in get out and hammer the big lifts. PPL allows me to recover well also. Highly recommend this one especially for people strapped for time.

It has become my favorite PPSA well maybe between it and pool season, but it’s straight to the point. I missed the last three days of Summer Stacked as baby girl was born a couple of weeks ago so I’m running strength on the go for a few weeks until we get settled.

Is that one pretty doable with minimal equipment at home?

I have #2 on the way in November and I'm planning on doing that one while I'm home with the newborn

I would say it's pretty doable with minimal equipment at home, but it depends on your setup. I only have kettlebells and dumbbells so I'm picking between the 6 work outs that use those.

You'll rarely need anything more than a barbell, a bench, occasional cable/band push downs but you can sub that out if you want. It really depends if you want/can do deadlifts at home but otherwise you'll feel like you got something in and also dealing with a lack of sleep. It's def more pick and choose like the workouts on his instagram page. Let me know if there's anything else you want to know?

Ok good to know.

I think I may give it a whirl. I’ll be doing squatober then during November when the baby is here I can take a rest month.

Is there a difference between the Brace yourself and Let’s pre game programs for Squatober prep?

Has anybody done both Peachy and Rising Buns? Wondering how they compare. I ran Buns a couple months ago and it was great but the hip thrust setup was really cumbersome and time consuming. But otherwise enjoyable. Just curious on big picture differences, especially since they’re both butt-emphasis but not in the I&II format like some other programs.

Interested in this too. Thinking of starting a bench program but there’s a lot to choose from.
