I use high energy classic rock such as:
Kvelertak
Napalm Death
Five finger death punch
Meshuggah
And others with high ene4gy beats.

I tried to listen to some high energy stuff while running after I read something about the benefits of it. Stressed me the hell out. I do much better listening to country and zoning out.

Maybe if I was trying to break a PR or something but for me it's not something I can listen to every run.

I like the five finger death punch station in n amazon music

Also like the staind station.

I tried to listen to newer rap but I don’t know if I’m getting old I just don’t like listening to half the songs Being women rappers talking about getting the pushy ate out.

I like to time the intro to “In Waves” by Trivium right when I pull my deadlift.

Try Tedahsii, Lecrae or Flame

Rappers with faith. They’re great.

There was a “What song did you listen to the most this year?” thread on the music board and I thought “shite, it’s Raining Blood by Slayer”.

I’m not a big death metal guy by any means, but it’s the first song on my bike/bleacher running playlist. The rest are mostly funk rock and shuffle around periodically.

That track just screams “frick your mood - WORK, fool.”

Highly recommend.

I stumbled upon a band called Rival Sons that works for me. High energy real rock- I've listened to classic rock for 35+ years and can't take that anymore. Electric man and open my eyes are great, keep on swinging and pressare and time are really good.

I stick to the godfathers of metal. They just don't make music like that anymore.

Pantera
Early Metallica
Acid bath
sepultura
Megadeth
Dio

Mixed in with
Korn
Rage
Black label society
Deftones
IL Nino

I used to have to have the heavier music but I can lift to anything. I just like the music to be enjoyable. But I’ve been on a deftones, sevendust, NF, DMX and gin blossoms kick.
