Gym is now requiring mask

Check with them again, certain gyms are allowing people to wear them in and out of the gym but not while they are actively working out. The SNAP fitnesses in Ascension are doing that, I believe thats what we're doing as well.

You only have to wear it in and out, and they’re not really even enforcing that

They have a letter with the governors mandate on the door and handwritten note saying mask are required inside. The governors mandate doesn’t have anything about gyms being exempt.

I own a gym. We are requiring masks to enter and leave but not while working out.
I agree... Its really dumb, but it's what we feel like we have to do in order to not be fined or shutdown.
Its been a rough 4 months for the gym business. This isn't going to help. We would almost rather them force us to close then allow us to be open with all the restrictions.

This. At least, that is what my gym is doing. You can take it off as soon as you hit the gym floor. My county has a mandatory mask requirement too

My gym started requiring them on Friday but they’re not enforcing it and it’s only when entering/exiting the building. They don’t even make you wear a mask, just pull your shirt up over your nose and you’re good.
Edit: seen several people enter the gym without masks and they said nothing to them.

If you are forced to wear a mask and still want to go, I highly suggest neck gaiter/fishing buffs. so much more convenient and easy to breathe.

I'm in construction and they have been a life saver. Real masks are uncomfortable and fog up glasses immediately

Snap in Laffy only asked you to wear a mask while entering/ leaving the gym. No mask on while working out.
