So I got a bottle from the doc and just did my first 100mg injection. I’m going to do that dose once per week. Should I expect anything noticeable? I got blood work done and I was in the low 400 range.

Im low 30s and have been in eating clean and working out pretty hard 5 days a week. Gains?

Wait, you get to inject yourself? I have to go to my dr.'s office once a month for my shots.

Haha your doctor sucks and is an idiot. Run from any doctor that says to take a medicine with a half life of 7 days...only once a month.

Find a better doctor. Let me guess he gives it in the muscle too?

I'm starting to consider doing this.

I've noticed in my mid 30s I don't have that screw you energy to do whatever I want for hours on end.

Any recommendations for BR area?

Curious, what are the downsides of receiving Testosterone? How expensive is it?

He said once a week, unless he’s edited the OP since you commented that.

price is about $100 for a 10ml vial that should last about 10-12 weeks.

downsides are you shut down your natural test, affects fertility, etc. Biggest downside is it sucks taking shots all the time after a couple of years. Lots of scar tissue build up.

Its for a legit medical condition where you no longer produce enough testosterone for your age.

Which ester are you taking? First couple doses you should start to notice more energy throughout the day. More confidence and drive to get more done.

I thought you had to be around 300- for TRT? I am 46 and popped out a 440 and they told me I did not qualify. Well at least from an insurance perspective.

I have a bottle of testosterone Cypionate, currently.

And, yes, I was told my levels in 400 range were fine but wanted to give it a go anyway, so here we are.

I am 33 and my level was 400 as well. Interesting that you’re only doing 1 injection a week though.

I’m using cypionate as well but 2x weekly at 70mg each dose along with 500iu of HCG 2x weekly.

Same age. I was told I could do two injections a week or one, so for the sake of laziness I’m doing one 100mg/weekly for now

A good physician treats the patient, not the number.

yep

as far as the 1 vs 2 shots a week...trt almost exclusively uses cypionate or enanthate. Both are around a 7-8 day half life. twice weekly will give less sides in the long run due to more consistant levels, but its not going to be a huge deal. Now, once a month.....oh frick yes, you gonna have big swings.

I highly encourage anyone using true trt to look at subq injections.

here is why(besides being less painful, less scar tissue and much easier)

I totally do not disagree and if OP or anyone else has the feeling or want to increase T levels, go for it. Don't go to crazy levels that may anger ThreaxDown, but you only got one chance on this planet so maximize it.
