My question, I guess, is why are so many more youngish men having issues with low test?

Maybe they aren't, maybe they always have been, but we're just now learning to diagnose it.

With no knowledge of it though, it seems trt has become more popular as people have become fatter, lazier, and more reliant on medicines.

Im willing to be wrong on that, just my observation.

Just curious if anyone has had much success with improving levels via diet and/or better sleep. For example, I know some foods can impact positively but I’ve never made a big effort to consume more of those.

This is the biggest thing, but also I think it also is diagnosed way more. Back in the 80s and 90s it was just considered normal to be tired and age fast in one's 30s and 40s. I think people now are like...frick that, if I don't have to why would I kind of thing.

But I do know testosterone levels on average are way down. I think its more lifestyle and lack of physical culture. I mean less than 10% of men even perform any form of resistance training and maybe half of them actually train.

Snd for many, gym time is really only physical activity they get. And unfortunately in many ways weight training is still considered trashy especially along the coast.

Plenty of studies that show if no physical issue, that lowering stress, improving sleep and improving diet through consuming more meat will improve levels.

Now that I do subq it's not that bad, but I was beginning to hate it. I don't want to do the pellets as they can be a literal pain too. Plus my doctor is in Houston 2 and a half hours away. I don't want to go in more than once per year.

Typically this is the explanation I see from doctors. People think feeling like shite all the time, not sleeping, having zero energy and feeling like you're on death's door is a "normal" part of aging so they just deal with it.

And I've asked this to those that criticize trt, how exactly can you abuse it? You have a doctor that prescribes doses that very specifically get you to a range to that of a mid-twenties to early thirties man.

Yes, you benefit greatly from test levels in that range. Do you walk around like Arnold in his prime because of it? Nope, it's impossible from those very controlled doses. You'd run out of a 2 month supply in a week if you're trying to run some juicing style cycle.

If the pellets wouldn’t be free, I’d be doing injections.

Exactly. What people don't understand is even though the doctor many times will write 4 refills for a 6 month period, it's a controlled substance. So the pharmacy will only give you the supply based off the dosage you are prescribed.

So I get one 10ml vial for 12 weeks. The pharmacy will not give me another before then unless my doctor calls and request snd I better have a damn good reason like it fell out of solution and I better provide proof.
.you can't really abuse it.

The same doctors that some of these same posters will say don't know what they're talking about concerning other issues

Im not criticizing or implying people abuse it. Like I said, there are many people that have a legitimate medical use that should be using.

But I also think there's probably a lot of 35 year old dudes that are 20-30 lbs overweight, don't exercise, and sleep like shite that would rather get a shot once a week than take control over thee life.

There's people that get told they're going to be diabetic and end up on an insulin pump for the rest of their life for God's sake

I’m 5’11 185# workout 5x a week and eat healthy as shite. I ran 5 mile vested in 45 min yesterday.

Sure there are probably some dudes who are world of Warcraft players drinking soy lattes but honestly it’s probably better they're switching over to shooting up test and getting off the soy anyway.

I think Mingo is just generally asking about trends. Somehow having low T has entered the lexicon and is a major concern for a lot of young people. The symptoms for young men are largely the amorphous:

fatigued?
not as awesome as you once were?
Trouble focusing on really boring shite?

This is an area ripe for aggressive medical marketing - basically a product on search of a problem. Everything about how low T can be marketed, diagnosed and treated may well mirror the advent of ADHD as a vehicle to deliver some really fun drugs to people looking for an edge.

So it's like fibromyalgia?

And you're not worthy of your user name. Ned was the man.

I've never understood why people get so sensative about something when we're clearly not talking about them in particular.

Let me give you a word of warning on something to expect for a while at the beginning. I started taking it and suddenly my whole self worth was wrapped up in my wife’s desire for me sexually. The problem was we had a baby so she was worn out and couldn’t keep up with my needs. Looking back I was pretty unreasonable and it caused some fights. Nothing major but we don’t fight a lot so it wasn’t good. If I wasn’t grounded in my faith I could see a moment like that leading to a temptation to cheat. At the time I didn’t really connect it to the testosterone I had started taking (I guess it should have been obvious). I also had more of a temper. But this all evened out over time and all is good now. It has certainly been a net positive.

My insurance covers 100% of it but the additional is around 70$.

Side effects.. starting a cycle and ending are the worst. It makes me a miserable person but the gains I make are priceless.

In a side note.... I work out at home and don’t have a lot of connections. I still have my prescription but my additional usage has taken a hit. I’ve heard napgear is a good site but I’m unsure. If anyone can help me with a reliable source I’d be greatly appreciative.
