I’m going strong with Dry January so far. I also gave up energy drinks too. I just started a primobolan cycle too, so no alcohol and carbonation helps a ton. I won’t lose weight, I’ll gain muscle, but I’ll be shredded just in time for vacation next month.

Nice! Lots of carbonated water, low calorie kombucha, and chai tea for me. Pretty much settled into a schedule without alcohol

Late to the thread but 22 days in. 8lbs down and sleeping great. Also cut out processed garbage from our diets in the house. It’s been great.

22 days as well. Been enjoying my before bed Greek yogurt with pb2. I look forward to my tea at night. Also, a friend brought over CBD drinks. Not sure they did anything. Feeling great.

I am studying for the PE Exam so what started as dry January is turning into dry until I pass my exam (Aprilish) and I'll see what's up from there. My mind seems much sharper, and it is amazing how much more stuff I get done.

I never drank during the week and was a 2-4 ipa/bourbon on fridays and saturdays.

Ended up having a DIPA Friday night at a couples outing that was planned at a brewery. Not beating myself up over it. Didn't drink anything else the rest of the weekend. Stayed away from the beers that my buddies were drinking after golf yesterday. I stuck to my Sam Adams NA beer while they drank delicious hoppy goodness.

I haven't had a drink since Nov 30. I'm down 20 pounds since then with no other changes to my diet.

Had some beers Saturday. Woke up Sunday just feeling kinda down. I'm sure my dopamine levels went lower than my baseline that was established over the past 20+ days.

No drinks since Christmas night. Feeling great, sleeping well. Only get cravings when at places with friends that only serve beer and wine. 3 hours at a place like that this weekend, but held strong. Definitely extending this through February. Love how I'm feeling now.

Don’t let perfection being out of reach cause you to wallow in failure though.

It seems like there are a few different reasons for doing Dry January in here (fitness, weight loss, harm reduction) and none of them are ruined after weeks of adherence by a day or weekend of drinking. Good work everyone who’s still crushing tea or sparkling waters :)

A buddy of mine is a former drug addict. He would relapse and beat himself up to the point where he'd relapse again. He had to break that cycle. Sometimes, you make a mistake or slip up. Understand what happened and move on. Mistakes will happen.
