Nothing to drink since January 2nd. Hasn't been very difficult, but a lot of that is because I work a ton this time of year. By the time I get home, I don't have much downtime to fill.

True test will come this weekend, when the wife and kids leave town for a few days. May grab some more of those NA beers and get wild.

18 days here as I started the day after Christmas. Down 3 lbs and sleeping great! Considering extending past January. Not nearly as difficult as I thought and I also bought a few non-alcoholic wines and canned drinks to take with me if we are hanging out with friends so it doesn't become a "thing" that I'm not drinking. Hoping to lose 10 more to get me where I want to be.

I had my test last weekend when my wife left me with the 2 and 3 year old all weekend. Hot damn, I wanted a drink after they went to bed.

Actually got rid of all those because I hated the way they made me feel.

Playing golf both days and going to find some project to do around the house so I don't end up bored and get into the bourbon. I have no beer in the house, so I'm good there, but the whiskey collection is just sitting there looking lonely.

So far I've had zero alcohol in Jan. Was sick the first week so it was easy. Jan is easy for me not to drink. October didn't work the way I planned. Will likely go sober for Jan and into Feb at least zero beer or wine or mixed drinks and if I do have a drink it will be vodka and seltzer or pour of straight bourbon.

I am also in the danger zone this weekend. Wife out of town, long weekend, 3 days of golf planned, NFL football all weekend too. I’ve been sleeping much better and it’s been a lot easier to get up to go do a long walk with the dogs or go workout. Thinking I may keep the no weekday drinking going after this month is up

Stay strong fellas. You don’t need that stuff. Visualize how great you will be feeling after facing this head on and coming out victorious.

Pop a couple sparkling waters and enjoy the wins.

More than half way there fellas

(root beers)

Who's still on board? Made it easily through the 'weekend' as it wasn't my days off from work. That's Wed and Thurs

Still sticking to my plan and my diet. Down almost 4 lbs so far. I’ve swapped beers for green tea or kombucha (I found cans of a blood orange/brewers hops kombucha that is a tasty beer-like drink watching football and it’s 10cals).

Sleep and my memory are both noticeably better than when I drink but otherwise this just seems normal now. I think I might remember my dreams a little more? Biggest change is sleeping through the night instead of waking up and going to pee.

Kept myself busy by walking 36 holes Saturday and another 18 Sunday. Had a few Heineken 0.0s both days.

I’m “off” today but working all day. Would love to be able to go play some more golf.

I was a daily drinker for 7 or 8 years. Usually a handle of whiskey and a couple of 6 packs every 2 weeks. I'd picked up the habit when I was going back and forth between night/day shifts and used it to help sleep. Successfully completed sober October a few years back and it completely changed how I was drinking. I usually drink once or twice per week now.

I've been crushing the coconut lacroix. Going through 2 or 3 12 packs per week. I'm drinking 3 or 4 after work.

Walking 54 holes sober in a two-day span will keep you lean and in shape

2 weeks, 2 days. Had friends and neighbors over this weekend to grill/s’mores with kids, some brought wine while I drank diet ginger ale. I was worried I would feel strange or worse, they would.. but no one noticed and we had just as good of a time. And I slept great and didn’t wake up with a wine headache.
