sounds like you been brain washed on what healthy eating is

carbs are not bad

But quality of carbs matter

some people do better fueling off fat, some off carbs

Your energy levels suck bc you probably need more carbs for all the work you are doing

this.

start tracking your calories and protein and stop doing so much damn cardio. do some but you are way beyond what normal person should be doing.....training for an endurance event, sure. but because you ate some carbs...hell to the no

Yes, it can be a thing

Sure, but the degree of stress necessary to significantly lower serum T (ie, exercise with chronic insufficient recovery) would be accompanied by a like-level of fatigue. Fatigue, not just tired.

If you're not fatigued and have low T and work out a lot, it's probably not because you work out "too much".

Watching a game (CBB, soccer, CFB, etc) or NETFLIX series on my phone...it helps time go by faster.

Sounds like you might just have normal Low T. At your age it's totally normal.

When you get your T levels checked, make sure they do a Free Testosterone test as well. Test needs to be attached to a protein in order to be used by your body. Free T is floating around your body going unused.

Dude needs rest

I feel like my T is through the roof when I take time off

Some of the best hard ons when I take a few days off from working out

Makes sense

I much prefer outdoor walks but everyone has their preference

I was joking but being on a treadmill for that long would drive me mad but it sounds like you have some other stimuli to keep your brain occupied

lol i mean we are telling you the issue, yet you arent willing to change. Dunno what to tell you.

you can stil have 2-300g carbs a day.

you prolly need a minimum of 2000 cals to maintain weight:
150g pro=600 cals
split the other 1400 calories however you see fit but a quick 200g carbs, 65g fat should give you plenty of room to have some junk and not have to do hours upon hours of cardio

but do whatever you want, but if you arent going to even entertain suggestions wtf was the point of the post?

This is probably the bulk of your problem right here. Your body needs rest and off days. The equation is not just more > less.

You should be going to the gym 6 days a week max. Probably 5 for your level of dieting. You don’t feed yourself correctly to get any benefit from going to the gym that much.

It is crazy that you are only 150 lbs having weight trained for 1+ hour every day for the past 3 years. Not to be overly harsh or critical but it sounds like everything you are doing is counter productive.

it’s partly because i don’t know where to begin with numbers and what i should be looking at to maintain weight

this helps, thanks

i was hovering around 180 at the beginning

but wasn’t a fan of how much mass i have gained

i enjoyed being strong, but hated how thick i’ve become

i’ve lost good bit of of my strength,
i suppose that’s the price i pay losing 30 pounds

In this case I would say drop the weight training down.

I think you could get by with a nice 3 day a week bro split. Maybe throw in a 4th day to hit shoulders or abs or something on occasion. Keep your cardio routine. If you’ve got a pasta heavy diet with 400+g carbs a day you need it.

That would give your body the rest it needs, allow you to keep your strength where it is without getting bigger, and your diet wouldn’t need much alteration (although that’s definitely a huge area for improvement).

This is a recommendation for you. To keep your targeted lifestyle and maybe boost the T back up. I’d never recommend someone do this as an affective training/diet regimen haha.

That’s a boatload of cardio and I’m a cardio junkie at times. Maybe do 400 or 800 meter walking lunges instead of the treadmill some days.

I would think these statements are grounds for a ban from this board.

Seriously, I go lift heavy and I think my T spikes. Like I could frick a steel ball sideways when I get home and I am 51 on no gear and no outside T help.

That’s a problem

get about 7-7.5 hours of sleep

Needs to be higher based on how much you are working out

quote:

my daily workouts consists of 1 hour weights and 1 hour treadmill on highest incline at 5.3 MPH (typically 2 hours on treadmill on weekends)

My guess is based on the above you are overworking, under-eating or not eating the right stuff, and not recovering from the work you are doing.

Classic fickarounditis. Just because you are in the gym for 2 hours doesn't mean you having effective workouts.
