You can't spell "suck" without USC. That goes for both of them. :geauxtigers:

I definitely overestimated my weights to use. Had to drop weights on several movements. Curls to OHP was a bitch. Felt great to get a bit of a shoulder pump though. That's one area where Squatober was lacking.
Now I'm struggling to lift my protein shake up to my mouth to drink it. The pump is real. :wha:
Still contemplating trying to do Rowvember this month too. It's a daily (7 days a week) rowing workout sent to your email. Gonna try today's on my lunch break and just see how I feel. May not do it everyday. If anyone is interested, here's the link to sign up: Darkhorse Rowing Rovember.
Today's workout is 6 rounds of 500m with 1 minute rest.

Just bought. Printing out now.
Going live with Game Day!
Just did my last warmup triple at 315. About to start the singles.
365 x 1 - check
405 x 1 - check
455 x 1 - check
485 x 1 - check, but it was tough. Not sure if I'll get back to 500, but gonna give it a go. If you don't hear back from me, tell my wife and kids I love them. :signofthecross:
500 x 1 - big MF check!
500 matched lifetime PR. Went for new lifetime PR of 505 and just didn't have it in me. Think I could have gotten it if I had just jumped from 485 to 505. :banghead:
Satisfied with 500 though. Just started back lifting in early August after about a 6 month hiatus. 500 is what I hit last Squatober too.
Now on to bench...
Hit 315 x 1. Lifetime PR is 325. But PR before starting Squatober was 285.
So Squatober 2022 is in the books with +35 lbs on squat, +30 lbs on bench.

I needed the extra cardio, so I did 2 rounds. Heart has never felt stronger!

Fell a day behind due to lower back stiffness after 21 to Party. Doing Pressure Cooker now. Did 400 lb x 1 x 20. Felt good. I did use a belt though just for added protection with my still semi-stiff back, so no bonus points for me.
I recently got a replacement plate for one of my Powerblock Sport 5.0 that I got probably a decade ago. You'll describe what you need and send a pic of the set and broken part. Cost me about $35.

I partied with Pennywise for both squats and bench. Bench felt fine with more reps in the tank. Squats were brutal. I think Pennywise slipped something in my drink and then took a bite out of my lower back. May have to take tomorrow off and catch up this weekend if it doesn't feel better by the AM. Popped a muscle relaxer and soaking in the tub now. Being old sucks sometimes.

Awesome!
I just finished squats. Partied with Pennywise. It was brutal, and I made myself use my belt for the last set. 370 x 7 x 3
About to do bench. Gonna see how those first 5 reps go to determine who I'm gonna party with.

Definitely feeling yesterdays workout this morning. Triceps, chest, legs in order of soreness.
It's times like these that I'm actually glad the folks we bought this house from were an older couple. They have those toilets that are a little higher to help old folks get up and down. And apparently to help Squatober participants as well.
FYI, they just posted guidelines to determine if you should increase your training max on their IG.
Def the hardest workout of Squatober so far IMO. Those AMSAPs just beat me up. But we've completed week 2, only 2 more weeks to go, then it's Halloween PR Party time.
I've yet to use my belt all month. We'll see how I feel tomorrow about that decision today. Those last handful of sets were tough.

Just finished squats. Almost died. :wah: :wah: :wah:
345 x 3 x 13
Did 345 x 2 x 16 the first Pressure Cooker, so increased from 32 to 39 reps.
Not sure how I'm gonna have any energy left to do bench. :speechless:
I'm wiped out. Took about 10 min break before warming up for bench. Only got 10 x 3 x 215. Failed after 2 reps on 11th set.
I kinda want to skip school today, but Back Arms University has a strict attendance policy.

Thinking back now, I have several 5 gallon buckets of wood stain in my garage I could have used for my feet and just used my bench. Oh well. I think a regular plank would work just fine.

I had one safety strap running across my chest just under my arm pit level, and my shins rested on the other safety strap. I'm just glad no one walked outside and saw me doing them.

How'd everyone enjoy the face-down planks? That was the first time I've ever heard of them, had to watch a YouTube video to figure out how to do it. I only have one bench so I had to get creative. Ended up laying cross-ways across my rack using my safety straps.
I walked down my driveway and used my golf range finder to shoot my fence to get the distance.

Finished Day 12 in about 54 minutes. Have to go into the office today so woke up earlier to get it done. I also supersetted front squats and overhead press to help save a little time.
